I would be gutted to have mine removed, particularly with the cost of doing a full licence these days! Luckily we can now save documents electronically so hopefully this shouldn't happen anymore. DVLA need to sort this for those that have been affected.

@carlostomas3698 Жыл бұрын
Yes, of course there are! Cruisers, usually they have very low height seats (too bad I don’t like them much. Unfortunately I like tourer and adv bikes) And remember that only seat height spec is not the only factor. You need to seat on a bike, the suspension lowers a bit and also depends on seat width and lower frame of the bike. I’m a little bit more than exactly 28” inseam and, of course, I feel very restricted on which bikes I can handle, specially because I’m still inexperienced and weight is also a problem for me. But now I’m looking for a new bike (I took my motorbike drivers license recently and currently I’m riding a 125cc machine) and I think I can find a machine for me. Perhaps it will not be the one I really wanted to chose but it will be fine and very enjoyable, I’m sure!

@@jonnyficationsI’m completely headed only to Japanese bikes, but I guess I have to widen my choices. I’m somewhat reluctant about other brands mainly because of the “said” reliability of that brands. @user-rf9me7xm1w2 жыл бұрын
@@jonnyfications I think you should be ok with a post 2018 model, the earlier ones had a problem with the wiring loom being stretched too tightly across the headstock. When I turned to full right hand lock, you could actually hear it creaking as it was pulled across the frame. This caused internal fractures of the wires. The initial problem of duff indicators was repaired under warranty but when other intermittent electrical gremlins started appearing when it was out of warranty, I thought it was time to get rid. The final straw was the experience highlighted by Stuart Fillingham regarding the gearbox malfunctions and Triumph’s response, so I traded it in for an MT 03 and couldn’t be happier. It’s a great little bike, light weight, low seat height and a blast on the twisties. Everything’s LED and nothing’s failed yet. It’s only 321 cc and 42 bhp but the power to weight ratio is on par with much larger bikes. It might suit everyone but for me it’s spot on.

People who was riding a 250 with L plates before the new law came out should still have been given the right to carry on riding a 250,the motorcycle licence is a big rip off,once you pass the cbt you should not have to take it again the same with the awareness test,a car driver takes just 2 tests and less than £100 and a motorcyclist has to pay nearly a £900 and take 4 or 5 tests.its just a money making rip off you only need 2 tests.
@jonnyfications2 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying about the 250cc old school class. I only paid around £600 for DAS. Even though I'd been driving for many years I still had to do CBT, Theory, Mod 1 and Mod 2. I feel like it was worth it though that knowledge and training has been invaluable. Remember, bikes are like sports cars, if not a little faster and you have no protection at all if you crash. But the training and expense is worth it IMO, now I'm free to ride whatever size bike I like, happy days! 🤘😎

@jonnyfications2 жыл бұрын
If you really wamt a bike with decent power do it. A2 bikes are still quite fast, and you can get them restricted so when you pass the full test you can just get it taken off. Same bike, more power. If you can wait until 24 it'll save you paying for 2 lots of training/ tests although conversion from A2 to full A is reduced.
