@@TriceyReecy hello! Yes, I did have to take chemistry. And when I left my job, I was lucky enough to have enough savings and help from my parents to get me thru respiratory school!

I am not licensed but I studied hard to understand my profession. I worked in the hospital as a nursing student but never as a licensed Respiratory Therapist. The CSE exam is very difficult to pass, I can't believe i failed after studying with so many materials😞

I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the CSE exam last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mr Richard

Hi Rachel! I just came across your video and it was so helpful!! I’m doing travel RT for the first time. I want to start my first contract in California! I wasn’t sure if I should just drive from Maryland to California or ship my car to California and I’m leaning towards shipping my car. Can I ask you what car shipping company you used?

Great video!!!! I''m starting my RT program this fall here in NYC, and I already have a BS in Molecular Biology, so that saves me some time!! I'm also a Kinesthetic Learner (tactile-hands-on learner). This is the way I really engrain concepts because most education is taught to memorize to test, but the hands-on I love!! I hope to do Travel work after 2 years of work experience. Love your channel.

Hi Rachel I just came across your video about traveling RT. I travel as well but I recently relocated to TX. I applied for the state license last year January. They rejected my application this year January. I'm really having a hard time trying to get the TX license. I'm just scared to reapply again and get rejected. I have 2 other state license that I'm able to go work at, but I really want to work in TX. Any suggestions?

2 questions how do you deal with new equipment you haven't used before in each new hospital? And how bad is living out of a hotel?

I just ask! Usually, Ill ask whoever is precepting me or charge. Just kinda go thru the basics with me and also ask where their resources are like training guides and stuff. That usually comes in handy especially if you're on nightshift and there's not a lot of resources. And honestly, KZbin! lol. Theres a lot of information out there and it helps! After working thru COVID, I don't mind living out of a hotel. The lack of a kitchen sucks sometimes, but with air fryers and stuff like that there are options to make food in the room. I personally, don't mind living out of a hotel!

I didn’t work as a RT until after I graduated and passed my boards. I was able to secure a job immediately because I took positions with hospitals I did my rotations in and they just waited for my license to come thru.
