Still absolutely love it! I’ve recently driven the refreshed model 3 and the improvements are amazing. Things that I didn’t notice much before such as cabin noise are drastically improved. With that said though, it’s still not enough for me to trade mine in. Still runs like a dream! In terms of icy weather, no car is great on ice so I generally drive really slow. When it’s snowing it’s definitely not great. That’s the same with any RWD though. I’m most likely change mine when a refreshed model Y comes out. Overall, would still highly recommend this model 3, particularly RWD in Scotland because of the value in cost.

@davesalstake Cheers I'm trying to Educate myself on these cars as much as I can. I'll probably not be able to bay brand new though. I also would like one post 21 with heat pump too. I also like the model Y but out my price range! Is there anything I should know about these cars good and bad?

@scottfraser854 don’t think it would be an issue buying pre certified from Tesla to be honest with you. What I would say is double check buying brand new because sometimes they have incentives for buying brand new like really low APR. Range is something you shouldn’t be concerned about and is a big pro in my opinion. People often worry about that but how often do you really drive more than 270 miles in a day or even a week…. Best things I like about the car are: 1. Comfy seats 2. Keyless drive using phone 3. Autopilot 4. Heated seats/steering wheel 5. Entertainment functions 6. Spaciousness Only real con I would say is probably cabin noise when driving on motorway but I only really notice that now because I’ve driven the newer one. Hi Grant, I actually don’t know the answer to this but for security purposes I think that would work. I highly recommend you make your phone your key though as saves having to worry about having your card on your and taking it out to open the car 😊

Hey - yes I think the build quality is amazing. There are a lot of TikTok’s/other short videos claiming poor build quality with seals pulling off etc. I don’t believe these for a second and I have had zero issues with mine. There’s a reason why people involved in car crashes while in a Tesla tend to walk away unscathed. They definitely prioritise health and safety which correlates to the build quality of the car. Hey! Thanks for watching - I’ve had 9 cars and that’s something that’s always bothered me as well. But I can honestly say that the Tesla seats are very very comfortable. At the end of the day though the car is lower down so having something a bit higher up for ease of getting in will always be nicer but I can take that due to how comfortable the car is. The vegan leather is extremely supportive of thigh support. Also - you can select ‘easy entry’ on your profile so everytime you open the car you can set it to go right back etc and when you put it into drive it will then adjust to your driving position 🙂

Hi thanks for watching! Can I ask what bank you are with? I used Revolut and the maximum transfer limits in 1 day is £250k so I didn’t have this issue. If there is no way of you sending more than £25k with your current bank, I would suggest you contact Tesla and advise them you may need to make 3 separate transactions across 3 days.

@@davesalstake HSBC UK. I'm not sure I am too keen in putting £65k into a Revolut account. But that's certainly something to look into. I have emailed Tesla a few times, never get a reply! Thanks!

Thank you - yes it is usb A and there are two usb C connections in the console storage. Im afraid there is only one charging port and that is on the passengers side. Can be a bit of a pain depending on how long public charging leads are. The one you get with the car though is pretty long though so I would be surprised if it didn’t reach your one at home. You can also buy longer ones so that shouldn’t be an issue for you.

Thank you! I’ve not really had to use it much as there hasn’t been much snow…however, the very few times I’ve had to it’s been absolutely fine. It has specific modes which reduces the acceleration etc for snow/ice so you do not accidentally push pedal too hard. It is a rear wheel drive though so it will never match having an all wheel drive for extreme weather. I just don’t think we have weather bad enough in Scotland to justify paying the extra money!

Thank you 🙂 it snows on average 38 days per year in Scotland. That’s just over 4 weeks worth and wouldn’t be 38 days in a row. For the largely increased cost of 4 wheel drive, I still maintain it would not be worth it for myself to spend the additional money.

Hi, the range is always lower than advertised as when tested it is in optimised conditions on a track. Weather, road surface etc has impact. Mine was the exact same 🙂

The car it great. The software updates still blow my mind that as soon as one is released, you get the feeling of a brand new car again! UI changes, to additional apps to performance upgrades…they’re endless!
