It’s all in your back foot. Don’t do anything with your front foot, let it just guide the board as it spins beneath you. Pop your tail outward with a scooping motion. Don’t jump backwards, jump straight up and let gravity do the rest.

you really don’t need to push your deck hard, just pop, and hover above, then gently put your feet back on. the patience AND waiting to land are the hardest part! GL !

@eim1218Күн бұрын
Ah, u're one of those confused few that think rotating Backside for something in FRONT of u makes it Backside. It does not 😅 When it comes to grinds, the location of the OBJECT dictates whether it's Frontside (in front of u) or Backside (behind u) 👌🏾👍🏾
@_dani.torresКүн бұрын
I was super confused about this too when I started skating haha because you are totally backwards for front boards. I get why you’d think the opposite
@justinmuir9163Күн бұрын
Think of like a wave toes toward the lip or heels?!?! Its a frontside. If it was a lips slide it would be backside

I love front boards. If you want a juicy tip, try and back 180 but fight it with your shoulders. Itll help you get on more solid
@_dani.torresКүн бұрын
I like the way you explained that, thanks!
@ASmallInfantКүн бұрын
@_dani.torres yeah of course, keep it up, I love seeing people getting into skating. One of the ways I tried to improve my front boards and back lips is to just spend some hours doing bs powerslides. It helped me to get the body mechanics more fluid and comfortable with that awkward motion.

I lean back just before I pop to keep the board under me and use the back foot in the pocket to help spin the shuv.
@_dani.torresКүн бұрын
leaning back definitely helps

@@_dani.torres Yeah for sure, you basically have the trick from what i see on this vid. Keep shredding.

ha doesn’t matter, i wear painters whites alot when i skate ! out of necessity right after work, not for a fashion statement

Find a good spot on the heelside of the tail and pop straight down. Front Shuvs don't need to be shuv'd as much as u'd think😅

I need to find that sweet spot
@brendenschultz16282 күн бұрын
Gah, front shuvs (and heel flips) are my kryptonite. I think it’s because I’ve gotta kind of throw everything backwards a little, and I don’t have that kind of faith in myself, lol.
