How interesting! No mee-mool light *(o)T(o)* on the other side? The wigwag bulb is burned out?

When I last saw it a few weeks ago, the lamp cage was hanging open. Not clear if the bulb inside still operated. There was no train passing at the time.

@@kenkramer6529 Manyears ago I claimed thathe alternately flashing mee-mool lights *(o)T(o)* represented the swinging of the wig-wag paddle. Normally when only one signal, it is placed so if seen on the right it is on the other side of the track. If seen on your left, it is on your side of the track.

That poor wig wag could use some real love. The banjo is about ready to fall off.

When I used to live in Broadway Heights back in middle school days about 30+ years ago my parents would drive me down to El Cajon to Home Depot and Home Base, along with Parkway Plaza Mall. I noticed back then that there was a split in the track to a portion that did not contain the overhead trolley wires. Since the Trolleys get their power from the above wires, I thought that seemed weird. The tracks with no overhead appeared to going into an industrial area. I wondered what it was used for. I also had never seen those crossings get used. Now I know that they were only used late at night while I was in bed. Although one time my mom did wonder if she heard some noises of a train passing by in the distance at night. I didn't know till recently that there were freight trains that run on the trolley tracks.

Ken Kramer. I plan on doing 3 videos of the train at those 3 crossings the train only uses in El Cajon that only come on in the middle of the night and I just wanted to know how often do those trains pass that area and what time? Just so I won't be sitting there all night and nothing comes.
@kenkramer65292 жыл бұрын
That could easily happen. There's no certainty. I have noticed it often comes in the early hours of Monday Morning (after Sunday midnight) between midnight and 2 AM, but not always.

@@kenkramer6529 So Sunday night into Monday morning between 12am to 2am is the best chance? What time and day was it in your video when the train arrived at the Arnele Ave trolley station at 0:50 and then what time was it when they left at 2:53? Just so I have an idea of when to go down there. And is there any signals that tell you ahead of time when the train is on it's way?

@@sandiegotrafficlightstrain354 It's been year ago and I don't recall the specific time. It was early Monday morning between midnight and 2 AM. Again, it's luck as much as anything else. No signals that would help. The companies served are listed in the video.
