Hi mate, looking at doing my first track day this year… how do they go about checking how loud your bike is? Love this video tho 👍
@peternaur6 күн бұрын
WHAT a great video!! You really managed to have the atmosphere of the trip come through the screen. Bloody well done! Lots of great moments and drama, but I most loved the part with the keys in the tent that had already been packed. So relatable. Amazing stuff! Used to fancy a 950 KTM. Not so much anymore. But then again, I have a Husky 701, so the only one I'm fooling is me, I suppose. Thanks for a great time!!

I have just got one of these, and I understand the front mud-guard needed to be removed to fit these tyres, but any chance you know the specs of this pair so I can get some for the winter, they would really help with where I live, and my confidence getting to work.

I enjoyed that. Living on Corfu, I've no need for a big bike. We haven't the roads here for anything too powerful. I know this because, after I passed my das in 2015, I bought a Yamaha mt07 and then rode it from the UK to Corfu in the January of 2016. Something like a 250 would be enough. I did have an old Suzuki 125 2 stroke trails bike here for a while (until it got pinched by the gypsies). And I found the power and suspension was just about right. Potholes became mere undulations, instead of spine snapping events. I'm always carrying tools and strapping strimmers and crap to my bikes. So something with grab rails and crash bars, that I could hook a bungee round could be useful. One to look out for when I've got some cash back in the bank. Cheers.
@OllieMoto2 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the review. I think there's also a few more bikes to look at in this category - a few are mentioned in the vid, and there's also the obvious like a Honda CRF 250 👍🏻

Ollie, I love this series. You've captured the joyous thrill of riding knackered with your mates, the point where you have to remind yourself that tarmac is not what you came for 🤣 And I absolutely love your editing skills. Thank you for this. I bet you've looked at the view count a few times, and thought, what have I missed here, and I am here to tell you the algorithm fucked up, this is something any ADV rider out there would love watching. Great job mate.
@OllieMoto2 ай бұрын
Haha dude this absolutely maxed me out! I'd just responded to your last comment, refreshed the browser, and thought this was the same one so KZbin was broken or something 😂 Again buddy, kind words. I figured out a while back that I don't want to chase algorithms, as you never know the rules that you're playing to and can get dissapointed by the numbers. Nowadays I just edit stuff in a way that I think I'd enjoy watching it, and that seems to be working ok! Authenticity is key in this game. Thanks man! 👊🏻
@thescandiflicktv2 ай бұрын
@ as you should, never make stuff for the algorithm, that game is rigged already due to the fact that you don’t have boobs, if you had you’d be getting 100k views within 1 day 😜 I love your stuff, you’ve got that British banter that can’t be taught and your edit flow is epic, do more stuff mate, I’ll be waiting 💪🏻🏍️🔥

Hi Ollie - love your content. Can I ask what gearing you have on your 990? Mine is 17/42 and I find the gearing too tall for off-road/lanes and I have to use a lot of clutch to help things along. I know some people run 15/45 but that feels too low..I was just thinking of putting a 16 on the front..? I just want the bike to be a bit more “peppy” on the throttle, currently (with the 17/42) I can’t even lift the front wheel for a puddle! Any thoughts/advice would be really appreciated 😊
@OllieMoto2 ай бұрын
Hey man. My gearing is still standard and I've never found it to be a problem - the 990 loves to "chug"! 😂 However if you're struggling to pop the front then 16/45 may help. I know a few who prefer that setup for the bike anyway, but just remember you'll be revving a bit higher on the road. Hope that helps!

If you want a 125 adventure bike, just buy a dirt bike.And add the boxes yourself You will get the extra power as well
@OllieMoto4 ай бұрын
Hmm, not so sure. Dirt bikes are awesome, and have a lot of power, but need regular servicing, often have highly tuned engines that wouldn’t cope well with the dodgy fuel you get in various places around the world, and aren’t as comfortable for long trips.

In Italy the exact same motorbike is sold as "Motron X Nord". I can subscribe with your observations (including the ridiculously low fuel consumption) but had no problems with the combined brakes, since on Guzzi motorbikes it had been the norm since the seventies, and I 've just downgraded from a V65 to this little motorbike.
