I listened and cried through this song after I found my father passed away in his bed. My dad was the little bird. Fast forward 17 years and my beloved dog Roxane died in my and my wife’s arms of degenerative myelopathy (Lou Garrick’s disease for canines) and this song starts playing in my head. Roxie was the restless wind. She had such a beautiful soul.

terrible cover. This song should never be strummed. It's always played by travis picking style.

I think we have someone to supplant Earl Scruggs as the finest banjo player, ever. Sorry Earl, I grew up listening to you, but Béla's versatility makes him at least an order of magnitude better. And that's also better than anyone else I've ever heard. What a monstrous talent Béla is. richard -- Writing about music is like dancing about architecture. - Frank Zappa

There can be NO doubt - Bela Fleck is the G.O.A.T! It’s one thing to hear it on a recording but simply awe-inspiring to see it live or on video! Thank you for posting this!

Amazon Music recommended this group to me 3 years ago after I was listening to Sierra Hull (another recent favorite of mine). I was not disappointed - I LOVE their sound! Too bad they don’t seem to tour - I guess I discovered them a decade or so too late.

I don't mean this in a bad way -- absolute respect -- but what if all the time spent chasing speed was spent chasing melody?

Very interesting piece of Poe history with Mike Seal playing great music. Megan's great Dobro sounds and Rebecca's brilliant Mando creating sophisticated melodies.

Rebecca did much more single note line pickin' with The Sisters than she does now, although she has started to do more of it on electric guitar. More leads Rebecca! Megan, as always, is a slide prodigy. Bring big sister back and electrify her violin like Jefferson Starship did with Papa John Creach.

I have also been keeping up with Larken Poe. The idea with the fiddle 🎻👌 is great. I wouldn't doubt that they'd already tried.

That guitar Bryan is playing looks a lot like the one I saw Ralph Lewis playing when my fiddle Teacher Arvil Freeman took me over to meet him around '76 or so.

Jens Kruger ...... After I first saw the Kruger Brothers, I have made it a point to see them at least once over the Merlefest weekend. Jens is simply the best banjo player in the world, that I know of. Technically he's 2nd to none and that tone !!!!!!! Sorry Bela.
