Are you that somebody is about her wanting to mess with a guy but she wants to make sure he keeps it on the low and doesn’t run his mouth.

8:14 love your reactions sm but the irony of this statement is so funny. honestly kinda iconic to me how after purposefully villainizing a majority of her fanbase she gets a NUMBER 1 HIPHOP SOLO HIT and ends the over a year drought. This era will always be iconic to me.

This remix is so hot. I listen to it for about three plays and then i move onto other things. Their connection is so obvious, but it also speaks to us who've had similar experiences. ❤❤ Monet and Kehlani are special. I listen to them like i take my daily meds.

Doja was forced to make pop music by her label. Doja doesn't even really listen to pop music and she never wanted to be a pop star. Her contract expired and now she's making music she actually likes. She said she was going to lean into all the stupid things people say about her just to make them uncomfortable and she's doing a great job. Doja has always notoriously been a huge troll and she's having the most fun right now while also making a statement about the music industry, ESPECIALLY the pop music industry, and the fan bases that come along with being a "pop star". Doja has old unreleased songs talking about how she doesn't make pop music. I really think Doja is going to be making a lot more rap, RnB, and experimental electronic stuff in the future. I think the hardcore pop girlies might be a little bit disappointed.
@MarcelJ Жыл бұрын
@GhostlyEcheveria: it’s crazy, you can definitely see the switch after “say so” when she activated the pop switch and the rest is history. I’m very ready for experimental Doja and I’ll always love an artist playing the system for their benefit. I think we’ve all learned to not take social media too seriously but when you reach a point where you can do whatever want and the internet’s opinion doesn’t sway you, you’ll definitely reach true freedom

Actually the line "I just quit the nicotine (I did)", she references to in an Instagram live from August 24th, 2022, Doja announced that she’d been vape-free for 70 days straight and ranted about the withdrawals: I quit vaping. It’s day 70 of no vape. […] Are you proud of me? Day fucking 70. No vaping. […] I would love to have a smoke. In the name of love, I would love to have a fucking smoke. […] I’m going to peel my fucking skin off. In a series of graphic tweets from May 19th, 2022, she cited a growth on her tonsil as the reason for quitting: i drank wine and was vaping all day long and then i started getting a nasty ass growth on my tonsil […] all that weird poisonous shit in the vape [was] seeping into the completely open wound in my throat This came a day before she notably had to cancel all upcoming summer festival performances and tour dates on May 20th, 2022 due to tonsil surgery. Also, I'm agree, that the music industry, some people (not all but some) are gonna turn your back on you or being flip-flopping just because you being yourself and the music that you wanna to do though. But overall, I'm didn't mind the song nor the video, because I lowkey like the creepy aesthetic, plus it's almost time for Halloween by the way 🎃🖤🧡😈, and also I'm still mess with her other popular songs like "Say So", "Kiss Me More", etc. 💗💕💗💋💅🏾💋

Doechii said her album will be one of the greatest of all time and I believe her calling her just versatile is such an understatement of how actually good she is at switching genres and sounds like it’s nothing can’t wait for it honestly
@MarcelJ Жыл бұрын
@jaycrews4034: Being a versatile artist isn’t a trait that a lot of people possess. I know everyone loves to throw that around alongside iconic and legendary but you can tell when an artist has a natural gift and they’ve taken the time to hone in on their craft like Doechii has. Doechii’s so special and I never want to downplay her singing and rapping because it’s unique, she’s insanely talented and I’ve been so excited to see her career continue to gain momentum so she can continue to show us the different layers to her talent. Like I was mesmerized the first time I heard “Spookie Cookie” (crazy word play and delivery) and feeling the raw emotion in her COLORS “Stressed” performance. She’s a star and can easily elevate a song with her presence. While “Booty Drop” isn’t groundbreaking in my opinion, I think it’s a fun bop that will attract more new listeners that will be tuned into for her debut album; just like the new fans that came “What It Is”.

@MarcelJ Жыл бұрын
@wheelboat: The Lil Uzi Vert Vs The World / The Perfect LUV Tape / Luv Is Rage 2 run is definitely unmatched especially when it comes to bars and honing in on his sound and bringing it to mainstream but I’m feeling this feature a lot more than Pink Tape. I wouldn’t want Uzi to keep giving us the exact same sound but I’d love more records with harder/complex production like this.

@@MarcelJ I ain’t even wanna talk about Victoria but let’s talk about it. Tinashe, Victoria Monet and Normani are like the only girls who actually does full out choreography in live performances and music videos. It’s such a breath of fresh air. All the money these other girls spend with million dollar music videos with a bunch of visual effects, etc. can y’all just put that money towards dance rehearsal to come up with a cute 8 count? I wanna see more choreography in music videos.

@Vonniedutch: Agree 1,000% and I’d even add Kehlani to the lineup.
