By far the BEST video for the Surprise cake stand I have seen. I am in the middle of assembling this at the moment for the first time and can't thank you enough for the step by step info about the cake assembly and decoration that other videos just DON"T bother to cover. I was wondering how the center would "POP-UP" if the music box was attached, (IE how would I pull the ring release) now thanks to you saying it pops-up when the music stops !!! A big WOW from me.

he said he got 4 layers from each cake but in the video he only got 3 from 1 and 2 from another? did he do 2 of each? i thought the video would show 'how' to make the frosting but it just says you need white and green buttercream. anyone know 'how' to make both of these? or is this something you can buy straight up in the US but not canada?

How did you make your buttercream?

First problem with this recipe.....baking the cakes , when clicking on the recipe it shows a recipe for a 3 layer cake not for 9x13 aluminum pan so the cooking times are way off.....same problem with the red cake also there is no ingredients to measure for the red dye so you have to guess how much to use , unfortunately I didn't use enough dye and it came out pink....hey Ryan can you be more thorough on the ingredients and cooking time we are all not professionals like you
