Hi. I built this kitover 3 decades ago. I then bought it again about 15 years ago to do a Bomber Command set of aircraft. So the Stirling,Halifax, Lancaster ,Wellington,Hampden were all bought. I have built and painted them all but they currently live in a box awaiting final assembly. As far as I am aware only two parts of a Stirling exist. One main wheel and the rear wheels in tandem on their baseplate. I think that both are held in seperate museums. I hope that this helps. Good luck. Regards.

I absolutely loath the way that Airfix do the roundels so you have to separately apply the central red dot. They didn't used to. What's even worse and is done now by all manufacturers is the censoring of WWII German markings. How can you learn about history if you airbrush parts of it out for political reasons?

Got this kit and was quite disappointed considering the paints provided had dried up in their little containers. Must now purchase the paints separately..

I think it's a mistake, the figures are from World War 2 and the tank is from World War 1

There not male or female there tanks

The male tank had cannon , and the female had only machine guns . In practice , they found the female versions more usefull , as there wasnt really all that much to shoot at , with a cannon , on the WW1 battlefield .

This is my first attempt. My lad is mad into planes, we go spitting and he knows his stuff, so I’ve bought a model to try and inspire him to make his own. Just collecting tools n stuff. The transfers look tricky

There are times that things just rereleased with some extra bits or old kits with new decals. It can be disappointing at times.🤫🙁🥱😒🙄🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

Thank you very much for sharing your build videos and I enjoyed your running commentary too. I'm building the Revell 1/350 SMS Emden with Eduards photo etched parts and 3D printed parts. Unfortunetly I glued the Eduards' wheelhouse slightly aft which caused the foremast to rake quite a lot. Using photo etched parts can make a modeler bonkers, but with patience, it adds a lot of detail to the model.

Useful video. Two points. I don't agree with your comments about the vac from sails - surely you won't be able to make cloth ones that look right for scale. Second, HMS Victory is in Portsmouth not Southampton. You should know that there is a deep seated rivalry between the commercial Southampton docks and the Royal Naval port at Portsmouth.

The canopy moulding is a total disgrace. The rest of the kit is workable

Take your time with it, and it'll build up into a lovely kit. I built one of these earlier this year and did mine in a classic display flight pose - going straight up; I bought a wooden display stand and a clear acrylic rod which I put up through one of the engine nacelles, so it's just climbing to the stars! If you've ever seen footage of the Typhoon doing a quick-climb when it just shoots up, especially BlackJack, it's just incredible to see...! 😃 Don't put any weapons on it, it only flies sometimes with a centreline fuel tank - occasionally with two wing tanks - and the outermost weapons rails on the wings; sometimes with dummy Sidewinders - they help with the airborne stability! 😉 I would recommend using a gloss black car spray paint for the main fuselage/wings if you don't have an airbrush...That'll get a very smooth surface for those huge decals/transfers to settle onto; they really need some MicroSet/MicroSol decal solutions to help them sink into the contours as well. They're very good transfers, but they need some work, and a little cutting/trimming to make them fit perfectly, along with plenty of the decal/transfer setting solutions - use the MicroSet first, and then the MicroSol if you get/use them... and give them several hours to work their magic... 😉

I’ve been looking for a wood deck for this kit but it’s been out of production for so long only the Tamiya and maybe Very Fire 1/350 are available.

Just bought this exact kit in my local Lidl for £20 last week, gonna be my first modelling kit so definitely in at the deep end 😅

I have a very similar kit but it has a Sherman and the half track with the 88mm A/A gun. It is brilliant except for the Sherman tracks.

You make me miss doing models as a kid. Obviously, as an American, I would go with the 160th SOAR version and paint it flat black because the Night Stalkers are bad ass lol. They are the only Aviation unit that use the MH-47. They are very distinguishable. Hope you enjoyed building it! 🇺🇸🇬🇧
