@@jackbell7390 Appreciate it! Just remember if you have a 94-98, you'll need to complete the alternator charge circuit with a resistor and I added a dummy light. If you have a 99-04 you'll need to complete the alternator circuit and disable PATS. Or... You can mount the original circuit board behind the intellitronix unit and leave everything hooked up and just tap into the wires, but cut the fuel level wire and only connect it to the intellitronix unit, or you'll get a false fuel level reading.

I was thinking about getting the big boss 3 taramps to power my skar DDX dual 10’s. Are the amps any good and when looking at the watts on amps do the 3000x1 mean 3000w for 1 sub but 1500w if running two subs?
@NoLogoGarage
@NoLogoGarage 7 ай бұрын
I had the Taramps Smart 3 and it was great! I was running 3 1,200 watt Skar 12's. So, your wattage depends on your ohm ratings on the amp and you have to match your desired ohm rating by your subs. If your amp says 1 ohm-4 ohm stable, you'll push max power at the lowest ohm rating. If you run your subs at a higher ohm rating, your amp will put out less power. On the subwoofer side, if you have 2 10's with dual voice coils and your subs are 2 ohm, you can wire them up to drop your subs to a 1 ohm load. This will push the full wattage to both subs. It will split the power evenly between both subs. There are diagrams to show you how to wire your subs to get your desired ohm load. You'll want to know what ohms your amp is stable at, what wattage your subs max power is and find your ohm rating on your subs per voice coil.

95 chevrolet... I believe you're looking for a solid brown wire and a solid pink wire, in the gauge harness plug. You will use a 194 bulb and socket to connect the 2 wires together. Should illuminate when key is on. Then when you start the truck, the light will shut off. I do not believe you need to install a resistor, due to your alternator being internally regulated and it should auto sense voltage. If it does NOT shut off, you're not charging and you may need to install a resistor as I did.
