@@alankingstone2464 Value? I choose the word, priceless. I mean just look at how you arranged “ Take Me Out To The Ball Game.” That became pretty sophisticated in a pretty short amount of time. Yeah man … I absolutely find high value in your work. All a person has to do is to try your work to see how hard you worked at your Craft. Sincerely with Respect. Thanks again. Life is amazing, and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. I watched every single one of your videos here. Yes I did, and I like the story each one tells. Yeah, you’re a good dude. You’re real man. In today’s world that is an extremely rare thing, but I’m pretty sure that you know what I mean. Thanks, Alan … yeah, thank you a lot. 🙏🏻

Alan - I found a book you created for free on the internet. I was wondering if you knew that was the case. Are you concerned about this? I could point you to it if you want. If you are concerned about your copyright I want to respect it.

For the 2nd inversion drop 2 major 7 on the 5th string and 6th string sets, you should double stop 5 and 1 with your 2nd finger and the stretch will be much easier. Btw, I love your book!

I have the Barry Harris Harmonic Method book for guitar. I get that for Fmaj7 we use F6 which basically equals Dm7 with a diminished chord in between each Dm7... But if we have a 2/5/1 in F do we use the gm7-Diminshed chords for 2 chord and what would we use for the C7? Thanks
@alankingstone24643 жыл бұрын
For Gm7 = Bb6o For C7 = Dbm6o or Gm6o

Hey man love your playing. I'm stuck on one of your concepts from your book Barry Harris Harmonic Method for guitar. Some one taught me the chords for the drop 2 major 6 diminished scale but I'm confused on why it's called drop 2. If you could enlighten me then I would be very grateful as it would give me a better understanding of this beautiful scale
@alankingstone24648 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind comments. The Drop Voicing is explained on page 2 under Voicings with illustrations. All the best.

I understand the drop 2 the second highest note an octave but on page 6 the chordal scale says the voicings are drop 2 when the root chord is C G A E. I don't understand how this is drop 2. Thanks for putting up with me
@apzzpa8 жыл бұрын
Am I right in saying that it is the drop 2 of the second inversion of C6 which is the same as Amin7 drop 2?
@alankingstone24648 жыл бұрын
All C6 chords are Ami7 chords. Don't get hung up on Drop 2 / Drop 3 etc. Learn the shapes.
