What happened is you needed to purchase the pass, which then an exchange voucher would be sent to you, and you would have to use that exchange voucher to get the actual pass. The JR exchange voucher has to match your passport name exactly as it says in the passport. If you habe a middle name in your passport it must be placed in the first name box after your first name and then your last name in the last name box (i messed up this way before so ive been there lol). Then once you get your voucher, you bring it with you to japan to pick up your pass at either the airport or any JR station.

Were you able to get your luggage checked all the way through both of your flights?
@wndrsoulnomadsАй бұрын
We didn't do checked baggage going to Japan. We had a carryon and a personal item bag. On our way back, we only checked one luggage. Since we flew from Japan to California, we had to get our luggage to be checked by customs. After that, we checked the luggage again for our final flight from California to Florida.

Using taxes to build homeless shelters and give these people therapy and something usefull to do would solve the problem. Maybe on the countryside, away from drug Dealers, living on a farm where they could work at an animal sanctuary. Naive, but I think it's worth trying.

@@wndrsoulnomads Thank you, We have a MSC cruise at terminal 10 in two weeks with check in @ 12:30. Sounds like a little late to me? Do you have suggestions when to arrive at the terminal? Do you know if the garage get full or near full?
@wndrsoulnomads2 ай бұрын
@MikeySoft This was on Terminal 10 for MSC Meraviglia Cruise. Our scheduled embarkation was 12pm. We got to the parking lot at around 11:40am. Parking in the garage seemed pretty full. We were driving our 3500HD Dually truck, so we decided to park out in the sun due to the size of the truck. The whole process took us around 45min to 1hr from the parking lot to the inside of the ship.

Don't need to negotiate with a real Japan taxi. All rides are metered and final prices are fair and accurate. BTW, it's true you don't have to tip but my tips have never ever been refused and always get a strong thank you from the driver. These folks work hard and don't make that much. I usually tip 500 yen for an airport transfer or just don't get change back saying "ii desu" when it's offered. If the change is too little I'll just add 500 yen directly and say arigato! I mean really, it's only 3 bucks. Makes their day.

It wasn't Osaka Station that you arrived at, but Shin-Imamiya. The area around that station has the highest number of homeless people in Japan. There are many poor people, and the streets aren't clean, so most people usually avoid the area.
