Thank you SO much for this!!! I wish I could figure out how to run tests with the small pieces you did as I expect to be doing a lot of that! I had been using without issue the Dollar Tree glitter vinyl. Suddenly the dark gray started pulling up all the lettering as it cut. Larger cuts were fine. Changed blade and same issue. From your video I think I may have needed to set the pressure a little higher. The same brand glitter vinyl silver cut perfectly just like your test. OK I thought maybe the darker was older. So I bought new glitter vinyl but had to try a different brand which is Make Market and I could tell it was much thicker backing. I was prepared for it not to cut all the way through, but I was not prepared for it not to cut at all, just dug up the glitter. It ruined two blades and I fear since I can't take the housing apart that it is ruined too, all that glitter up in the tiny hole of the housing. Anyway, I ran that sheet through 5 times adjusting the depth of cut and it never did cut the vinyl at all. You can see where it tried to cut. Now I don't really know what to do. I can't get Dollar Tree vinyl any more and this Make Market is all my local store carries and I don't want to order a roll or pack just for it to do the same thing. Any suggestions out there?

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this. I have been trying to weed Shimmer vinyl for hours, and trying every trick posted on youTube, but your video solved the problem for me. It was the PRESSURE on my machine that was out of wack. Once I increased the pressure, per your instructions, my blade cut right though and I was able to successfully use the vinyl.

Thanks for the help, however I’m using a premium glitter vinyl and I tried to change the setting as you showed but still not cutting. Tried higher setting and it’s cutting through the paper

3 years after you posted this and you just helped me so much. I wasted soooooo much glitter vinyl and was in such a bad mood that I hadn't touched the stuff for over a year.

Thank you for sharing this with us. It is very helpful. My wife had a Cricut .. I didnt like the fact that you must be connected to the internet to use it.. I bought her a much better cutter ... a Cameo .. much cheaper and much better.. not internet needed.

So wish I had seen this earlier. I literally just threw away a roll because I tried five times to cut it and even after running it through my maker three times it still didn't cut. So frustrating!

Hey thank you for sharing this. My partner is having a hard time trying to cut just normal vinyl. We have tried everything and the machine is tearing the vinyl. We do not know what else to try, so any help you could provide us would be very appreciated :) The machine is new (only 1 week and was cuting fine but all of a sudden started tearing the vinyl.
