Very strong sprint from Welsford, but DvP shouldn't be closing Andresen (and by extension Bauhaus) like that

'If you watch Danny van Poppel" as the commentator says, it actually appears he looks over to see Welsford to his far right (5:47) and then deliberately fills the gap between them, blocking rider 91. Twat in my eyes

@@ThatDrivingBeatLeeds What matters is that he also got a yellow card. According to Cycling News: "If a rider gets two yellow cards during the same race, they can be disqualified and suspended for seven days. Three cards in 30 days earn a rider or directeur sportif a 14-day suspension. Six cards over a 52-week rolling period can result in a 30-day suspension."

@@Blog4Justice I know what the new UCI rules are, bur thanks for explaining. My point is they won the stage from his actions, so a yellow card means nothing really. He's still on the start line tomorrow!

The "fellow" crash, persuit, catch the goup, crack on the hill, persuit again, catch them for second time, and win the stage. Amazing.

Guys I think the UCI really needs to crack down on the jersey colors to improve safety. Deviations in sprints are fine, no one got hurt today so no need for any real consequences.

I believe her about how people behave at a doctor, since she is one. But as a historian, in wider society it used to be much worse. We just grew up in and got used to the ~50 year era when it wasn't. There is almost no Tour de France because at the very first edition fans beat up and sabotaged their idol's rivals, it was scandalous. Anyway, I hope she has recovered from the covid, she is one of my favourite riders when healthy. 🫶

That Red Bull leadout train deliberately disrupted the riders on Welsford wheel. Dirty tactics. Red Bull - Bora - hansgrohe must get a warning!

@wanderleisil96823 сағат бұрын
Yes, a shame
@jean-jacqueslavigne31092 сағат бұрын
And Lund was quite fair-play about it, it seems. He made the mistake of not jumping them earlier as it seems it had plenty under the pedal. Unless he precisely felt he didn’t have enough no matter what.

Something needs to be done on Redbull's sprint tactics. The last two leadouts made it a point to disrupt other sprinters on Welford's wheel instead of pulling away. There should be team sanctions for this.

I'd really like to see the UCI do something about these leadout guys disrupting on the way back through the field. Both those guys had tons of safe space to move off to,.. but obviously have been trained to do something different.
