This was a great video. Electricity is not my friend so I stay away from it mostly. But I would definitely love to get better at doing mods like this for our rig.

Thanks so much for watching. The 12 volt side of electricity isn't that hard to comprehend. I've been wanting to do basic video on it for awhile. We're going to your neck of the woods over Christmas holiday maybe I'll put out a video then.

The screws on my closet door barn rollers kept working loose. I cut a hole in the back of my doors and installed solid blocks of 2" X 4" ripped down to fit the door thickness, then I glued the blocks inside the door frame. I then reattached the rollers with wood screws. They haven't backed out since. Your way looks a lot faster.

Yea, a bit faster but if they end up backing out, I guess I'll take your route

Rich...nice video, love all your upgrades. 1st hope you are planning on the 2025 Ally Rally in Elkhart (Dec 2 is open RSVP) and we can meet up. I am in process of installing LEDs in cabinetts. My next upgrade planned is the KoolRV. Please let us know your thoughts once you use the AC. Wife is considering (1 minute Yes another minute No) replacing the factory table with a standalone like yours. I "want" to install the Microwave Vent but my only concern is future replacement of any unit and vent not lining up. I know...I know...but that is my "pecimistic" self. My wife says that I am a pain in the arse! MY MAJOR 2024 UPGRADES = 1) I DIY'd 600ah of Lithium Batteries without touching factory 200w Solar. Next year's major upgrade will be a "solar system" to match our battery system. 2) I installed Starlink Hi Performance so my wife can work remotely while we are driving. 3) I upgraded Alltrek suspension to their 4000 and added SumoSprings (due to our recent 4mo summer trip South FL to Alaska).
@checkingitoutwithrich571117 күн бұрын
We are definitely going to the national rally if we get in. Hope to see you there. We are going to Florida over the Christmas holiday so we'll be trying out the KoolRV. I'll be sure to let you know what I think. I have a small mod I want to do to it so I'll probably do a video while I'm down there.

All the screws in the floor angle in my Reflection 5th wheel were missing!!!!!! The entire back wall of my camper was moving left and right as I travel and thus the lower aluminum skirt on the outside had bulges. I'm doing this exact repair today on my camper using large angle. Thank you for posting this video!!!
@checkingitoutwithrich571127 күн бұрын
Alliance had the same issue with their early models. After I added the angle I had to go to the factory for another issue and they reinforced the back wall. They removed the skirting on the sides and back. Added angles to the sides and secured the back with lag screws.

Can you upgrade a 30/20 rv breaker to a 30/30?
@checkingitoutwithrich5711Ай бұрын
That's not a simple yes or no answer. It's all dependent on wire size. 12 ga wire for 20 amp and 10 ga for 30 amp.
@VaDirtfishingАй бұрын
@checkingitoutwithrich5711 that's true. Thought of that after I asked you. So what about a rv breaker that keeps getting hot. Mine is a 30/20 together. I'm not overloading it but when I run a space heater, microwave etc for a bit. The main will start to get hot. Camper is 18 years old. Original breakers. Do you think replacing the main will fix this problem?? Thanks again
@checkingitoutwithrich5711Ай бұрын
Changing it out might help but the first thing I'd check is to make sure the screws are tight on the breakers. Any loose connection will generate heat. Unplug the camper before doing so.

First come first served. Pull into site then go to the kiosk and pay. Definitely check the power at the pedestal. We had a loose receptacle on one of the sites.

@checkingitoutwithrich57112 ай бұрын
I didn't have to move the island but I did end up moving the stove back an inch. The handle would touch the drawer handle because of the bouncing going down the road

Good video. I installed the same system, in same location using J Hooks (but I like the magnet approach), and it IS a little difficult to see when mounting. I've also installed these same J hooks inside cargo bay, on forward bulkhead, to hang unit for traveling. Quick connects and 90s also make things simpler for hookups. I've also have quick connections with plugs and caps to secure all components for traveling, mitigating water drainage, and keeping components clean(er). I've also used this filtration system (minus the filters) to sanitize the entire system, and water lines within the rig. Keep up the good work. Your ideas, and trial and error, help tremendously. Thanks!
