I’m sorry, but the hard product is terrible. Just flew the new Allegris Premium Economy yesterday and the experience was fantastic, except for the awful seat. Let me be clear: the concept is wonderful and the hard shell works, but the actual seat itself is dreadful. The seat is woefully lacking in padding, the seat back is not sculpted properly and necessitates a back pillow (but of course the one given is too thick for this purpose), and the leg rest, while great, when fully extended in full recline leaves no room for a human foot between it and the hard shell in front of you. And then there is the recline function…or better said, slide function. On our A350-900 ORD-MUC there wasn’t an empty seat in this cabin and a solid half, maybe more, of people couldn’t figure it out or didn’t have the strength to slide forward. Oh, and the headrest just slid right back down for all passengers. This is a real shame, given the outstanding service, delicious meal (salmon over cauliflower rice: 👨🍳😘chef’s kiss, and top notch IFE.

"Focus on the needs of our guests." But even as a United 1k I can't book a seat on a Lufthansa flight, let alone access the equivalent of an economy plus seat! Why would I want to opt for a Lufthansa carrier flight?

Bout time Lufthansa added proper extra legroom seats in coach (not just bulkhead and exit rows, also in the 1st few rows of coach w/ at least a few extra inches of pitch).

I have flown Lufthansa first class for about 8-10 times, those memories will never be relived again, since Lufthansa will have a better first class. Btw, the inaugural flight from MUC to YVR was amazing! I got one of the office seats! Go Lufthansa!

This dude is basically showing and demonstrating (by having to seat crossed in Economy) that the economy cabin is absolutely ridiculous for people over 1,90m tall… Sorry to say this, but LHG (except for Swiss and AUA) is absolutely foolish for long distance flights…

U should see and try the headsets given in premium class! Foodservice everything is worse than most economy classes including business class with no mattress cover and cold served breakfast.

Why don't you just install standard seats? The biggest joke will be if you really are gonna retrofit the lower deck of the 747-8 with the new business class but keep the old business class in the upper deck as you can't install those Allegris seats in the upper deck.
