Is there a way to make this not adjustable? I'd love to use this idea to make a warping board for weaving, but the pegs shouldn't move in that case.

This is a fabulous series!! I've had my machine for 6 years and got so frustrated, I put it away. Now, with excellent guidance and positivity and KZbin, I'm excited about it again. Thank you all!

That is just the Blue BOND. Not the Classic. The Classic was grey and flint. It had a folding handle. The ISM was just a Bond Classic but in grey and red and it came in two pieces instead of one.

Just a thought. Instead of making a complete, inner second row for when the yarn has shrunk. Couldn't you just have a pair of shorter side pieces. I believe they were 15". Just change those two out for two that are 13" or close to it? Less cost, less weight and no moving the outer pegs to the inner row of Tees.

It would be nice to show the process of dying the wrapped board, and then a shot of what the finished yarn looks like, and maybe an item knitted with it. I've always sort of wanted to make my own type of yarn sort of like Noro silk garden, but with my own fiber blend. If you like pvc, but might be a bit constrained by it, there is a great epoxy like sculpture mix that you could get called Magic Sculpt - it is hand workable, and cures in a few hours, and becomes more rigid than any polymer clay I've tried. This might help for some purposes you may need, that and maybe custom 3d printed pieces at a spot like Shapeways.

WoW! This tutorial is AWESOME! Thank you so much. I am doing a practice session with the American flag. Got a lot of holes where the colors changed, but I was not crossing the two yarns like you showed and now it is beginning to come together. Again - thank you!

Hi all, I am having a problem with the tension on my elite and classic knitting machine. Most patterns in the Bond pattern book give a tension of 4" but my tension pieces are coming out at 6" instead, please can any one help, I am having to convert patterns, is anyone having the same problem please?

You can either try swatching with a different weight yarn or use the yarn you already are and go down a keyplate or 2 to make the stitch smaller.

Hi Mary, All the old BOND machine videos I have here aren't mine and are just uploads from an old resource site. With that said the only advice I can give you is to check out the following facebook group and ask there. facebook.com/groups/usmclub/ They can better answer your question then I can. Hopefully this helps out.

Does going through both sides make it tangle less?
@joeyune
@joeyune 8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I tie in 4 places on each wound section. top, bottom and both sides. It really does help prevent tangles. Also having the shower rings on the top of the sections help this too. I use colored rings so the 1st ring is 1 color and the rest of them are the same and I also orient the way they close the same way so it helps me keep track how to position the yarn back on the frame.

I am a retired lady, and would like some help in finding out how I can purchase tools for the Bond Classic. I have been given a machine but the tools were all missing from the Box, I have a single bed and the knitter attachment, plus the black casting on. I have no clamps, but I do have a knitting table. I want to knit garments for the Child Welfare in Magaliesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. As a hand knitter I am not productive enough and need help, please can anyone help me? Ann Smith.
@joeyune
@joeyune 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Ann, My only suggestion would be to look on Ebay. Especially if it's for the Bond Classic as that one is not in production anymore I don't think. At least not in the US. Do you know what tool you need or are missing? I could help you mind them.
@annsmith8139
@annsmith8139 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Joey, thanks for your reply. Mainly its the transfer tools that I need, I can improvise on weights etc., but the stitch transfer tools and when you want to pick up a stitch. A row counter would be handy as well. Also the cards which they use to move needles to the right positions. I could make them myself but do not know the sizes of each one.
