But if you look around in community forums female V is overall the fan favorite. Also, in 2021 female V wasn't as popular as she is now. A lot of people also do multiple playthroughs of the game and they usually play male V first and then want to re-experience the game with female V.

Look at Nexus mods, the amount of mods made for female V dwarfs the amount of mods made for male V and the number of people downloading female V mods is also far bigger than for male V. Patrick Mills is the Cyberpunk dev who chose female V for the Fortnite collab because he likes her more. He wanted 1 male and 1 female and Johnny was the male, that's it. Also, plenty of guys love playing with female characters. Look at Korean MMOs like Black Desert Online or The First Descendant where most of the player-base is male but most of the characters played are female and they make boatloads of money from selling outfits and skins for female characters. Games like Stellar Blade did extremely well and games like Bayonetta, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy and NieR: Automata have playable female characters that are extremely popular, sold tons of games and plenty of guys love them and have played them. In games like Overwatch 2 literally the top 6 characters by pick percentage are female and that game is highly competitive with mostly male gamers. This perception that every character you pick has to match your own real life gender is kind of silly IMO.

the percent of people that romanced Panam is not conclusive evidence on which V most players use. we don't know if it is counting by each copy of cyberpunk (someone that romanced all characters through 2 saves would still count towards romancing panam vs someone that either didn't romance anyone or just did the female V romances, so there may be more people who romanced just panam or romanced both panam and Judy than players that just romanced judy or nobody else ) and we don't know if it counts modded versions of cyberpunk

What does this even mean? They're both canon, it's an RPG. They even both have their own covers. And honestly I think Female V is the more popular of the two, I see Male V a lot less.

@@SuzukiBalls you only see female V recently, and by the fanbase. early promotional material, cinematic trailers, story trailers, hell, the exclusive backrounds and bonus content you get all feature male V in the iconic cover shot pose. the story trailer with jackie was male V. the only thing female V had before the ultimate edition and PL expansion was the very early test demo. what i mean by male V is "cannon" is that when cyberpunk 2 comes out, or when the next TTRPG comes out, itll likley be Male V who is canonized into lore. it isnt like fallout where the games change cities or dont need to reference each other, V, his actions and his general appearance including atleast the gender will all need to be canonized. and itll likely look like male V from the 2077 cinematic trailer where jackie dies. sorry that was so long winded, had to explain the logic here. i have nothing against female V, shes cool, but as someone who was hype about this game as a kid, played it on launch thru phantom liberty, everything was male V oriented until ultimate edition, is what i mean.

@@josedavidcastillo9241no. its not like fallout, ONE ending is cannon mate. this is how writing works, cyberpunk universe is 40 years old, there is a cannon. what ever v does, includig the ending, was all written with the idea that only onef the endings actually happen, the developers already know wich ending their gonna go with. its not like their gonna write a new plot based off one of the 6 endings, they already had it planned out, and went right into cyberpunk orion. so yes there is technically already a cannon ending mte, we just dont know it. and cyberpunk doesnt work like fallout, there are 40 years of lore bfore the game,40 IRL years, the game cant be open ended, it literally cant, it has to fit within greater cannon, so WTF do YOU mean
