The team looks so fun Paul! Maybe for the next videos you could say more about game plans against certain matchups, like the usual leads you use and stuff like that, it could give more insights to really understand how to play a team. Otherwise great video as always, was waiting for it all day long ;)

Yes finally one of my favourite mons getting some love,pro tip tho,ive been using it since sword and shield and sheer force is a much better ability than heavy metal,even tho he gets access to alot of weight moves,combine sheer force with iron head and play rough,absolute unite
@Ralfdude-english24 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. How is sheer force iron head better than heavy slam when 104 BP (iron head) is way weaker than 120 BP (heavy slam)? The difference is super noticeable, it's not even worth it imo. Sheer force sounds cool but it is not the right ability for this thing imo (I did explain it in the intro, not sure if you watched it tho) Heavy slam and Heat Crash are extremely good moves in this format to not use, since they hit 120 BP with no drawback into the majority of the format, and they don't benefit at all from sheer force. Play rough is cool in theory but its not really that needed (can even miss) and Superpower is a must in my opinion to hit Incineroar, Archaludon and Kingambit, and once again sheer force doesn't affect Superpower, Heat crash or Heavy slam. I'm glad you have been using this thing since last gen, but unfortunately sheer force is not the right ability on it imo (at least for a Life Orb set with protect) since the only real move you would like to use with sheer force is play rough and I didn't want to use play rough because for me the other moves I mentioned are better in this format. Maybe if I used an AV set then I would probably put Play Rough as the last move instead of protect and then I'd probably use sheer force. However, even if I use sheer force as the ability, I'd never recommend running iron head instead of heavy slam, the power difference even factoring the sheer force boost is pretty noticeable, heavy slam is just stronger in this format
@muneebmuhammad119124 күн бұрын
@Ralfdude-english I get your viewpoint seeing as heavy metal makes copperajah the heaviest pokemon,but again watching your gameplay with it,seems like we are using it in different ways,I use mine as a sweeper,my team is almost a mono ground type team(just a preference)with the exception of copperajah(also preference cause I think you should use pokemon you like instead of how good it is,tho not saying copperajah is bad),the thing is that sweepers need to confirm the KO,heavy slam and heat crash are good against pokemon that don't weigh alot,however going up against other pokemon that do weigh quite abit,I've noticed that even an adamant nature and fully EV in attack can't pull of the KO if they've invested in HP or defense,best it can do is under 50% HP,however my strategy is leading with hippowdon to set up sandstorm(does chip damage and removes focus sash)gliscor second,I use agility and baton pass to highten copperajahs speed(I've invested full attack and speed)so I do outspeed majority of mons with plus 2 speed,if I feel safe I sometimes also go for an occasional swords dance aswell,I've felt that the sheer force/life orb combo along with iron head and play rough have been exceptionally good,but then again with all those stat changes I guess the heavy metal set up would work aswell,just kind of risky honestly but you are definately right,with pokemon such as kingambit and incineroar,superpower would be really affective but the attack drop is what scares me😮💨but thanks alot for the advice,I'll try using heavy metal in this regulation,but I wonder if it will be as affective when paradox pokemon are introduced again cause that's probably going to happen next regulation,but thanks again for the advice🤝
@Ralfdude-english24 күн бұрын
If you are talking about regulation H, Copperajah will get 120 BP Heavy Slam into almost everything with Heavy Metal, even pokemon that weight a lot actually (like Tyranitar and Dragonite). I'm not sure if you have actually taken the time to make those Heavy Slam calcs (I did before sharing the team) but heavy slam is 120 BP into everything except ursaluna, so there is no other case where heavy slam will do less than sheer force iron head against pokemon that "weight quite a bit" (quoting your own words here just as a reference), HS is just stronger since 120 > 104. I get that the teams are different and at the end of the day you can use the pokemon in any way you want, but heavy slam objectively does more damage than sheer force iron head and that's just the fact I wanted to point out, not an opinion. Thanks for watching buddy!
@muneebmuhammad119124 күн бұрын
@Ralfdude-english no problem,found your video and these comments helpful,ok guess I'm gonna have to grind ability patches again lol,thanks for the advice though and yeah I didn't calculate it properly,just speaking from my own experience of playing against bulky pokemon but again most of the threats were just legendary pokemon last regulation such as Lugia and groudon,but honest question,if legendaries and paradoxes were to be reintroduced would you still say that heavy metal is better because I have no plans to substitute it and I want to keep it useful so I might have to rebuild it.
@Ralfdude-english24 күн бұрын
If it's a meta like reg G with all legendaries available, then absolutely not worth to run heavy slam anymore because some of them are so heavy like Groudon and Calyrex Ice (against lugia HS would still be 120 BP tho) but if it's a meta with only paradox and secondary legendaries like Urshifu and Landorus but the others are banned (like reg F) then Heavy metal is definitely worth it because you still hit everything with 120 BP Heavy Slam (except ursaluna which is 100 and 80 depending on the form)

@Ralfdude-english25 күн бұрын
Not sure which battle and what turn you are talking about since I usually don't have Maushold and Ursaluna together most of the times, but you mentioned after you so I imagine you refer to the first Lilligant game. I don't have safety goggles on maushold so If I commit my tera into maushold just to be put to sleep by sleep powder then that's a really bad trade for me that I didn't want to take, so I don't think wasting my tera for nothing is my best play since the Lilligant is usually sash and they can easily just protect torkoal and sleep powder turn 1 instead of Close Combat, there were multiple options
@pokemans770525 күн бұрын
@Ralfdude-english ah I forgot you aren't goggles. You are correct that I was talking about that first game. You're definitely right that it wasn't a super strong move at all then, and again you did pilot it to a win anyway so great work and thanks for the reply!

Choice specs gholdengo one shots talonflame with thunderbolt. So u can easily replace power gem with trick
@Ralfdude-english29 күн бұрын
Not sure if you watched the intro but power gem is not for talonflame, it can be used against it but it is mainly for Volcarona and Incineroar, good try though
@Hustleman9129 күн бұрын
@@Ralfdude-english u specifically stated murkrow and talonflame which is why I made my statement. Idk what u mean by “good try tho”. U wanna elaborate on that. It was genuine advice.
@Ralfdude-english29 күн бұрын
I specifically said Power gem is "good to hit things like Volcarona (it was the first pokemon I mentioned) and talonflame to name a few, also Incineroar which can do a decent 60 to 70% to it"... I never actually mentioned Murkrow at all when talking about Power Gem. I even began saying "I could've put Trick there. I know a lot of gholdengo that are choice locked use trick in that slot but I decided to go with power gem..." which means I did consider trick to the point I'm even mentioning it on the video but ultimately preferred to use Power gem, yet you still tried to give me an advice about it but with the wrong assumption that I am using it against things I didn't mention (murkrow). Thanks for watching though I appreciate it

Amazing video champ. I test first your team on Showdown and I have a +1600 ELO. And console I have near 750 position. Pdt: Thylopsion's team is so amazing. In other account I'm +1800 ELO. However, Pult Tailwind is a several problem.

Did u consider scale shot dnite? It's so good rn esp with chomp
@Ralfdude-englishАй бұрын
This team benefits more from an AV Dragonite set for lots of reasons: more coverage, STAB flying move, more bulk on the special side due to AV, etc. I don't like the Scale Shot set that much, personally

Ahh I had a team like this ages ago, but eventually it felt too tricky to guarantee activating the weakness policy, so I swapped it for throat spray with normal tera. Love to see this getting pulled off - Dudunsparce is my favorite Pokemon precisely because it's such an underwhelming evolution lol

Baton pass over calm mind sounds crazy….
@Ralfdude-englishАй бұрын
I've seen it with batton pass before and it is possible but that's the opposite of what I wanted Dudunsparce to do tbh, I wanted it to do the job not to pass the job to something else, I'd rather just not use it if my intention is to let something else sweep, too many resources just for that. Thanks for watching :)
