Grew up on Yealand/Conyers. Plenty of short cuts through the wheat to get to the cricket club and the store on Lakes parade. Used to be a stream at the bottom of the hill with a passable tunnel under Abbey Road to the farm. Fun times

Thanks for showing the Wiley Road building site! I do not know how many months ago I saw the drone shots but it does not like they have done much since. I hope you have recovered from that long walk - I could not have done it! Mum and Dad bought a house on Snider Road a few houses from the convenience store. I don't remember what it was called then - I was only 4 in 1960 when we moved to Stevenage. I do remember we could still walk under the slag bank to the coast at that time. I know from an earlier video of yours that 'we' can now do so again. We probably feed the ducks and swan as it was just across the road.

Terrible shame whats happened to cornwallis st area a disgrace they were great days i was out 1995 to 2005 regular most weeks and odd times upto 2010 really then the club scene died on cornwallis st

Thanks for the video. When you got off the bus by Asda, I was hoping you were going to the park across the road. A visiting You Tuber only visited it briefly. Maybe there was not much to see! Another You Tuber put there drone up above the football ground and showed a new housing estate being built on Wiley Road opposite the ground. I would be interested in seeing the progress if you go that way in a few months time. I'm glad they replaced the trees on Greengate.

That no name street was Napier, lived at #13 until 1964, moved to USA. Used to be a butcher on the corner across from the take away. Then at the end of Video #1Bath street was my Grandad and Nana's house. T Brady and Sons...he kept his horse in that backstreet yard when he was a rag and bones man before the haulage trucks. Owned the Garage on Duke Street now occupied by Tudor Car Services. Things have changed since I've left. Thanks for the memories
