Classic spongebob: good writing Modern SpongeBob: good animation

Modern SpongeBob (season 4-9a) was honestly fine. I didnt love it as much as the first 3 seasons but i didnt hate it either. It still felt like SpongeBob, had it's occasional moments and bad episodes, it was ok. Post sequel SpongeBob was actually quite fun... Up until the Creator's death. After that the show became pretty bad to me.

I Love Modern SpongeBob! Not only is a very non recycled animated show, but it has a lot of classic cartoon slapstick to it, kinda like the wonderful world of mickey mouse.

Look, I actually like modern spongebob quite a bit too but i don t want to ignore the first seasons of spongebob because for example the first season is a classic and reminds me of typical animation series of the 90 s although i like modern spongebob i can certainly understand why many and espiaclly older fans prefer first season at first, spongebob was a combination of adult and childlike humor but later it became child friendly physical humor that didn t interest many fans in addition there is also the nostalgia: Spongebob has a become a true classic for many millenials and members of gen z but as the fans got older and older and the series became more and more focused on childlike humor many fans didn t like that, i also think that many people who think modern spongebob is trash are looking at too much through the nostalgic lens i hope this video will start a discussion about modern spongebob instead of just seeing it as trash

I feel like this video will blow up in views in like the next few years or so when everyone eventually turns around and appreciates the modern episodes I haven’t watched them because I don’t watch tv anymore but even when I watch videos criticizing the modern day episodes, I’ve always thought the art style and stuff that they’ve moved to looks pretty neat to be honest. Like they flanderized the characters, ok, but like you said, you can tell the passion from these writers regardless. The writing might not be there but the artists seem to be having a blast and all the voice actors seem to be having fun still and it seems to be a working formula

Honestly, given that it was a Nickelodeon/GameMill game, massive respect to the dev team for making something of such genuine quality. NASB2 is so much better than it had any right to be. Dev team was obviously passionate and clearly wanted to make something special. I think they succeeded, but sadly, NASB2 was probably doomed from the start. Too many people were burned by NASB1. From the moment of its reveal, NASB2 went in with so much less momentum.

The biggest problem with both games was the lack of 2008-now characters
