By the way, if you're struggling to get a grip on the string, I suggest using a face towel or handkerchief over your fingers while pulling it, and slightly pull the string after tying it to make it loose and stretchy.

I know this is a bit late, but thank you. This tutorial helped me when i was struggling to make bracelets. My only experience was working for a hawaiian saleswoman that used Elastic multithread, which i got good at. I just started and bought the wrong thread, but hopefully, with experience, I'll be just as good!
