I went to my Aldi today 20/1/25 and unfortunately they had very few of these items. I was not surprised as last January was the same. The ice cream bars I found were vegetarian, not vegan sadly. No pepperoni slices, no salami slices, no corn dogs, no caramel cake slices, etc etc. So I bought just a few bits and left. Lidl on the other hand had more stuff, again, not everything in your videos but had more stuff overall. I need to move where you are! 😂😂😂

Lots of great vegan options but very sad for me as I can't have gluten, which leaves me with a block of tofu and a bag of lentils.... Occasionally I find something I can have but not many. Makes it harder to be vegan.

Sorry for all the troll comments but I love your content and have to say the Clive's cauliflower cheese pies are amazing. It's strange because the reviews arent good. I like the protein yoghurts but I'm not crazy about them. I would love it if they could do more naughty flavours like biscoff or cheesecake. It would be great if they did a vegan version of the high protein chocolate mousse To all the people complaining about processed food I went vegan to save lives of animals not to be some kind of nun. I eat massive portions of fresh healthy food but I also enjoy processed pies with a big plate of veg. It's all about balance and all of this judging people over what they eat is stupid it's how eating disorders can develop and I speak from experience ❤

🙌🙌🙌 I LOVE this comment!! Firstly: I 1000% agree with the your point on ‘processed food’, and adding to it - I always think if vegan food is going to compete with non-vegan food and win more people over then surely it has to compete on a level playing field! - e.g. offering the whole range of food including burgers, cakes, pies, etc. That doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy all the amazing fruits, veg, whole grains etc as well! And I stopped in my tracks on the Clive’s cauli cheese, and that sounds very interesting I will have to try myself! And lastly I totally agree with you re high protein chocolate mousse, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the next alpro product!

Those Farm pizzas I really nice, especially the spicy pepperoni one. Don't get why you say £5 for the pizza is very expensive. They are quite big & we share between the two of us with a side salad. Much cheaper than going to a restaurant or getting a takeaway.
@YourVeganFoodExplorer2 күн бұрын
I’m really glad to hear this!! So this is a very good point but I think it all comes down to budget and frame of reference: Compared to a £15 pizza at a restaurant or takeout it’s a real bargain! Compared to a Chicago Town bbq jackfruit (90 grams more pizza - £3.75 with nectar) it’s a high price imo. Splitting it is such a good idea as makes it half the price and adds in a delicious salad 😁

A lot of these products are soya based. Wouldn't trust that. They never clarify if they're GMO or not. Cheats. Wrote to a couple of companies who didn't give me a straight honest answer! Also contain rapeseed (motor) oils. 😉
@YourVeganFoodExplorer2 күн бұрын
Hi there, good questioning!! But from my research before: in the UK, the FSA states: 'We recognise that some people will not want to buy or eat GM foods however carefully they have been assessed to ensure their safety. In the UK, foods must say on their label if they: contain or consist of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) contain ingredients produced from GMOs' So from this I would assume that they don't contain GMOs - I didn't actually check them all, but I haven't seen it on any products I've eaten in the UK!
@HB-oi3lb2 күн бұрын
Can you show the ingredients please. Bet they're not all clean 😞
@YourVeganFoodExplorer2 күн бұрын
Thank you for the comment! It becomes a bit hard to show ingredients as makes it a bit clunky for videoing! BUT they are all really easy to find on Sainsburys website, even Aldi now have breakdowns of their products online. But I will try and include more ingredients shots in future. Even if it is quick you can then pause on it.

It’s funny you say this as I’ve been thinking something similar today! I shop at Sainsburys a lot but haven’t gone actively through all their vegan sections, I normally just go and get what I know. And today I was really shocked by just how good quality and extensive it is!!! Aldi and Lidl get big news about their Veganuary ranges, and Sainsburys doesn’t have as many new launches…but that’s because they have such a big selection already!! Haha!

Your Vegan Food Explorer is another awesome video of the best and worst vegan food you have ever eaten. Don't agree that eating honey is a grey area because the Vegan Society website states that honey isn't vegan so if you eat honey you are plant based rather than vegan. Love 🥰 the video.

Its a shame but not all Aldis stock a large range like yours, I wish they stock the range of vegan products all year round.Have had 'meatballs' with a mustard filling & fishless 'fish fingers' both delicious but went back the next week & they were nowhere to be seen.It seems that they have them just the once.
@YourVeganFoodExplorer6 күн бұрын
So I do think Aldi are getting better at this! Their ‘core range’ is growing slowly and whilst every year a lot of the Veganuary’s bits disappear the core range counties to grow. And we’ll have to see in February but I think it’s coming to a tipping point of being able to do a full vegan shop there now - I have an exciting video to test that!!

With their price's still low with the cost of living crisis,it means other supermarkets are profiteering from the situation with ultra high prices
@YourVeganFoodExplorer7 күн бұрын
It's a good point, my only thought is that the business models are so so different. If price is your absolute metric then Aldi and Lidl WIPE THE FLOOR with any other supermarket. But in my opinion, the shopping experiences are totally different, I go to Sainsburys and Waitrose regularly by my house and Waitrose is like an upmarket department store with so many amazing new brands, shelf displays etc. Whereas I often feel like I've been in a washing machine when I come out of Aldi/Lidl from being bustled around lol So I don't know if the other supermarkets are actually making more profits, as their costs are probably much higher. Bottom line: having Aldi and Lidl in the market is amazing as it has made the other supermarkets terrified of them and work SO hard on also providing discounts.

people seem to think becuase there vegan there healthy this is deluded bs people think vegan junk food is healthy the level of cheer madness of vegans is through the roof if you keep eating that vegan junk food your going to get cancer and heart issues trust me its full of rapseed oil which is very bad for you and they put it in all these vegan food
@YourVeganFoodExplorer10 күн бұрын
Hey mate thanks for reaching out. I think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick. Nobody thinks vegan junk food is healthy, is it healthier than the non-vegan equivalent? In my opinion yes, mainly because processed meat is carcinogenic to humans and red meat ‘probably carcinogenic’ (both by world health organisation) which let’s face it is most of junk food. But the main point is if you can eat something that is the same bad for you, and actually maybe better for you whilst no animal dies then surely it’s better. The problem is most people don’t have the ability to critically think so I guess it’s hard.
@opticalman641710 күн бұрын
What’s Worth Buying none of it its all procesed toxic junk and vegan whole foods really are not whole foods there incomplete foods just feck that starvation diet off and eat what we are meant to eat meat the vegan diet is cheer madness your distroying your health on that diet in the long run
