I've the same problem with firmware version 1.3.0 (1.2.9 and 1.2.6 too). A longer solution was to get out the battery for a complete night, after it i was able to turn on the camera ~50 times. How can i indicate it for a new firmware fix? It was fine in its first 3 months.

at moment 19th July 2018 with the new firmware 1.2.4, this action camera have 5 big issue: 1) power on/off issue, for some reason often when you try to power on the camera it doesn't work, you must remove the battery, wait a while and put in again and will work. 2) If you record a video of about 5 minutes in 4k, the camera start to be very hot, and if you turn off and you want quickly turn on the camera, it doesn't turn on, you must wait at least 10 minutes, the time to cool down. 3) RAW picture files are impossible to open in a correct way, before you open with Photoshop or any other software, you must convert the file with a specific software from Sjcam, after conversion from RAW to DNG, you will be able to open the file but with strange colours, in my case with a dominant red shade, impossible to use. 4) Sometimes, in photo mode and with RAW file activated, if you take a picture, the camera take only the jpg format without the RAW format. 5) The Sjcam support it's unprofessional, they answer your assistance tickets only if they know the solution if they do not know the solution they will never answer and If you try to open a new ticket, they close your account, as happened to me. They have read, this review that you are reading now and they contacted me, trying to to help me and fix my issues, but after about 5 or 6 days of several mails, software to update firmeware and software to convert raw file, they was not able to solve any of the problems that this camera has, even my "deleted" account on his support web site. Horrible experience, before you buy this action camera think... and think very well, savings is never gain!
