I know very little if any about body work but, if the rear cab corner is original and the door fit that corner, why not cut the replacement rocker and make it fit the cab corner instead of cutting the cab to corner fit the rocker? By watching all of the C10 repair videos out there, it's clear that the replacement panels are not very good. The door bottoms, do they have a brand sticker on the inside? That might help the rest of us make a decision on which brand to look for. Hope you and yours are doing well Darren. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! See you next week.
@Wrenchen-with-Darren6 күн бұрын
@@eddieraines2647 The cab corner has been replaced, it was fairly well done. My decision was made by how well the other panels fit. I hope I made the right choice, we will soon see. Sorry, the door bottoms are so old, no distinguishable markings are left. But I'll be ordering one for the passengers side, soon.🤞 Merry Christmas and Happy NewYear to you, and all. @@eddieraines2647 JB is good stuff!!! I perfer 3M. Most times, small batch use is easiest with JB. They have catered to this by making easy mix, single packs available at local stores. Best tip; don't clamp with excessive force. As always, thanks for your comments!!!!👍

Maybe sometime later down the road, how hard is it going to be to separate panels that are bonded together? Just curious. Spotted the locktite.
@Wrenchen-with-DarrenАй бұрын
Well, good question. Pretty much not going to happen. You could use a lot of heat, but that's not so good. Most of the time, you have to cut back more. Its permanent, and why I make every effort to block rust. A collision repair would require larger panel replacement. Thanks Eddie.!!!
