At first I didn't know for what use I had the low gears of my 6! So a 12 speed would only add some extra ½ gears I suppose? And why is the bikes riding to the left??? Finn. Denmark
@finncarlbomholtsrensen11884 күн бұрын
In Denmark we also use bike-passes for both directions (For simplicity), but in Towns they mostly follow the direction of the traffic, to the side. A bike coming from an unexpected direction is at best, surprising!

Nice that the bike lanes weren't parked full of cars and trucks. Most bike lanes in the Bronx are glorified parking lots. Even in front of the Bronx Zoo there's an ice cream truck parked...feet from an NYPD cruiser. 🙄

Were they saying that the 12 speed Bromptons have a wider hub and rear triangle?

The hub sticks out in a new design that I have not seen before. I was wondering how they made it. I do like the design even if the weight is more than the 4 speed.

...the hinges seem more lasting and less deformable than the traditional ones... and the bolts probably more replaceable... but that price... even if I could afford it, I d never ride, park, maintain, carry it around as carefree as I do with my hired C-Line!

The new hinges use bushings that can be replaced in minutes compared to the steel hinge design.

You can use many posts as long as the diamter is the same. Also, the length has to be long enough which is unique to folding bikes.

I wonder if you can give me some advice. I want to upgrade my very old Brompton by replacing the triangle and front fork with titanium ones. The problem I encounter is that I can only get a titanium triangle with a width of 112mm and a titanium front fork with a width of 74mm. My current and original triangle and front fork have a width of 100mm and 74mm respectively. My question is this: can I use these titanium parts considering the widths?
@BromptonFamilyTime2 күн бұрын
It depends on the aftermarket maker. You can as Fantastic4toys since he sells many of them. I personally would not upgrade an older Brompton. It will become too much money and you will be better off buying a new P line with the new gearing system. Older Bromptons are well made but after time, you will need to change too many parts to make it worth it especially if your talking about frame parts.

I just watched this video and the "Congestion Pricing" from months ago, and have to leave a few comments: 1.) Something about your videos is so wholesome and positively easy to consume, the NYC tourism office should §$%&ing pay you for how much it makes me want to visit the city. 2.) If you had merch that said "alright" with a nice logo on it and not too cheap of a fabric, I might just have to buy. Okay, maybe not just ONE "alright"! 😄 3.) Shoko, can you PLEASE make a video about how you create these videos? Is it an intuitive approach, or did you actively work on your editing philosophy and educate yourself about it? Do you have professional background in media and video editing? Do you have a story that you want to tell or patterns that you follow when editing? A rhythm? Cut frequency? Do you stabilise the videos in post processing and how? Do you consciously plan focus points and how you guide the viewer? What's your approach when it comes to audio? Who does the cute graphics? How do you go about choosing the music? I have an affinity for technology and can edit audio, but a noob when it comes to video. You clearly have some skills, and I'd be super grateful if you cared to share. Thanks! ❤

Very awesome video. Love yr honesty. So let me ask: you've pretty much changed everything. And you've bought aftermarket parts from Ti Parts Workshop. What about buying the frame from them too?
@BromptonFamilyTime13 күн бұрын
The frame is the heart of any bike. If you work on any type of bike, all parts will eventually need to be replaced as maintenance. I would never buy any clone frames. I view parts as universal and should be compatible to most bikes. I am not away of TiParts Workshop making frames.
