I did a diesel beetle kit 3 years ago,have been waiting to find another diesel convertible.thanks to uncle joe cant afford to sit on a kit.At 75 years starting to wind down. kind of disapointed in this change but understand why.if youve sold any in the milwaukee area its probably because theyve seen mine

I love it. The only mods I would convert is the fog lights should be yellow led. I would have Dodge viper side pipes installed. Probably store it in winter. A rhino roll on bed liner should coat the bed entirely because eventually the aluminum will corrode. I want a functional cowling hood intake and the 5.7 hemi engine. A tonneau cover for the bed would be sweet.

I would rather have something that’s more steel panels and welding for structural (not rivets) and less fiber glass. I also think the mk4 jetta kit can use a revision after your experience with newer kits. The explorer sport tailgate and lights are getting harder to find

What would be the steps to prep new body panels (1970 Chevy c10)

If they are brand new bare metal I would lightly sand with 220, wipe the panel with alcohol, wipe with a tack cloth, then spray your primer. If they are old panels, I would sand the paint off with 80-120, fill in any imperfections with body filler or dolphin glaze, sand it all smooth with 180-220, alcohol wipe, tack cloth and spray primer. It's all about prep so any small imperfections will show once the base and clear coat are on there. You can run your fingers over the panel and check for any little imperfections. If you can feel it then, you will see it after painting!

2023 Dodge Charger 32k ,2024 F150 more hp 41k ,Chevy 1500 more HP 36K,Ram 1500 more hp towing and carrying bigger box 40 k with options (my truck) Im just saying its neat to drive a fake truck for like a year before you find it it is not practical ,,,,1983 I shoved a 327 with a power glide 2 speed into an old Chevy Love and spent a year smoking donuts and dropping camaros in the 1/8 ... but then I needed a truck
