Our excursion experience was not what was advertised on the website because of the hurricane. Honestly I recommend just staying on the ship because it is SO beautiful and there’s SO much to do 😍

We went on this in early June, so it's fun to see others' experiences. We had a blast, and who you go with certainly makes all the difference. We stayed up laaate on the first night, alternating between karaoke, dance party, and the hilarious events in the main lounge, and we saw the scenery at 5:31 out the window around midnight, except lit up in the dark. We asked some crew member where we were and she said we were already here, they decided to dock early to avoid bad weather. When our group of five finally all got up, we did pay a taxi driver to take us around, totally worth it and he was awesome. Got us back to the boat waaay before it left. Then I got to do the one thing I wanted to do, be in a hot tub on a moving boat. haha anyways, great video, and I don't know about you but already looking forward to whatever cruise is next.

It was mostly lifting, pushing weights, and reaching high. They just want to test to make sure your body can uphold the same tasks every day.

I'll be having a zoom interview on the 7th of October and I applied a housekeeping job. Hopefully I could pass the interview it's a once in a lifetime chance to work at Disneyland and it's my dream job to work at Disneyland. 🙂

@@jayleneacosta6904 so it didn't go as planned lol! We had a conversation first of what I do right now. And I have two jobs at the moment, so she based it on my availability. The housekeeping PM schedule they have at Anaheim is 4:30pm-1am. She instead offered the merchandiser role, part-time. And from there, she asked specific questions pertaining to the role. It was a pleasant experience overall :)

@@jayleneacosta6904 my pleasure! They were relatively easy questions. 1) Why do you want to join us? 2) Scenario: A grandma asks for help to find a gift for her grandchild. How would you help her? 3) Tell me a story where you had a difficult/rude guest and how you handled the situation Then questions about my previous and current jobs. And some other questions I can't remember lol are you going to apply for the Anaheim locations as well? :D

@@jayleneacosta6904 but since you'll be applying for the housekeeping position, I'm sure that will be a different set of questions. I've watched another video of a previous cast member about how she initially applied for security, but mentioned to her recruiter that she's looking for something else. Then they asked specific questions about that role. My recruiter was very accommodating and she really looked into the PM shifts to see if there's anything available. T

Hi! Thank you so much for this video. I’ll be starting my DCP in 2 weeks and I got this role in MK. I haven’t been able to find much info about it anywhere so this was super helpful! Quick question, do you remember how the hours were at all? Or how long your shifts normally were?

It honestly depended on the week. On average my shifts were 8 + hours and I almost always closed. During the holidays we would have insane hours like over 12 and we would be on a 6th day. Definitely always got at 40 hours or above. Best location ever though 😀

@@packerfan553 the employee gets self admission so they can go at anytime as long as there is no discounts. The employee will get guest passes and those are only 16 for the year. For holidays you will get extra complimentary tickets. Doesn’t matter the hours you work it just is automatic.

I have a question about this . So only the employee gets the free passes right? What if The employee has a family with kids and husband will They be able to come in the park with the employee ? Or no.

Hi I’m starting traditions tomorrow as a house person how different do you think the role is from what you house keeping is at the wdw resorts?

Houseperson is much different. It depends on which resort you are at. You will be in charge of everything outside the room which includes picking up the trash and linen, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, etc. You may also be in charge of stripping the room which means taking out the garbage and linen for the housekeeper. You may also be in charge of visual inspections which is knocking on doors for those that use the do not disturb plaques to make sure the room is safe.

It really depends on the resort you get. Some hotels you can order at a discounted rate. If you are like me and just want to keep working so that you can finish asap, I pack a bunch of snacks that I can munch on throughout the day. I sometimes pack a sandwich but mostly just easy snacks. I would suggest getting Gatorade as well because you will be sweaty and it’s nice to have the sugar and electrolytes to keep you moving throughout the entire day. 😊

I know you made this several months ago, but I just saw a listing with a sign on bonus and am VERY interested in the job. What I was curious about is if you get your normal wage AND tips, or if your pay gets docked depending on if anyone leaves a tip. Sorry if this is too intrusive of a question...but I have looked everywhere online and have not found any answers.

Yes you get paid hourly, and they do give you more than normal cast jobs since it is a harder job. You also do get to keep tips if they are left behind.

They do give you a lot of different dates for transitions so you will have opportunity to have that time allotted.
