Thank you for your kind words, Sruti. I’m so glad you are finding value in my work. I believe you should be able to find the second half of this varnam under Hindolam playlist. Best wishes for your music learning journey ❤️

I wanted to know how I can train my ears to identify notes, can you give your insights and any practices that one can follow to ace in the same?
@samamoments2 ай бұрын
Sure, I’ll make a video on this topic. But as with training well in any skill, it requires time and most importantly, patience to familiarize yourself with the sonic space of the notes. Just like taking the time to get familiar with an acquaintance in your life, so you can become a good friend to them 😊Your relationship with swaras get better over time, the more you engage with them slowly and steadily, and with an awareness of the minute differences in the frequencies. You might need a teacher to point this out to you, I believe that’s where the teacher’s role is crucial. But, it is an acquired skill, learnt over time patiently. May be acquiring that skill is easier for some people ( some children/people show an innate affinity), but nevertheless I believe it’s possible for everyone with right interventions.

I am curious to know your full name. Also why Sa Ma Moments? You should teach music to the young. You have a good command of the Raga and great patience to sing it clearly. So do teacher. Blessings again
@samamoments2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. My name is Srividhya. Sama refers to a musical ritual/practice in Sufism, where music is used as a means to meditate and ponder upon the higher self/God. So, that’s why SaMa moments - hoping that the music in this channel would help someone calm down and meditate on their higher self 😊. Sure, I’ll definitely take in your suggestion. I love teaching, so will for sure teach in the future. Thank you for your blessings ❤️🙏🏻

Dear Ms. Nalini, thank you for your kind compliments ❤️. I do not have a personal written notation copy for this at the moment, but the notation for pancharatnas is pretty much standard in all books. I’m sure you can also get it through google search. Have you tried?

I do not have the privilege of growing up with Carantic music and Vedanta. I am an American. So I am only an amateur, yet, Dear Teacher, I respectfully disagree that gamakas come from the human. The gamakas and ragas seem to me to be Divine. To really hear Carnatic music is to commune with Sri Narayanam.

Dear Ms. Gidalya. Thank you for your kind comment. Wow, I see a great budding philosopher in you. ❤️ This is a deep topic, which I myself like to think more about. I respect your view, and I can see where the disagreement is stemming from. I would like to write to you in detail if interested, and possibly can also learn from your viewpoints. Not sure if this is the right platform. Please email me at [email protected] if you want to continue our conversation there.
