No moving company is gonna load up your house into there truck then unload it into a warehouse just to load it back up to bring to your new home. They will just drive directly to the new home or possibly stop at night to sleep at a rest stop or truck stop. I worked for a moving company for 5 years. @danielanderson850319 күн бұрын
There are many great places to live in North Carolina. Gastonia is not one of them. Don't believe me? Drive around the city.. count the homeless, the obvious drug addicts. Read the crime statistics. What is actually happening is that, because Gastonia is relatively cheap (due to the many problems in Gaston County in general), it's one of the last "affordable" areas for Charlotte commuters to buy in. Realtors of course fluff EVERY locale, so take these kinds of videos with a grain of salt.

I would disagree about the food. Charlotte has tons of diverse cuisine options and has come a long way over the past 10-15 years with variety. It has a lot to do with the many different people moving here. So yes if you compare us to NYC, Boston, DC, Atlanta, or LA yes we don’t have as many options . Let’s not forget though, Charlotte is not as big as those places 😉 I have tried these cuisines in Charlotte: Greek, Italian, Turkish, German, French, Jordanian, Palestinian, Lebanese, Spanish, Bosnian, Serbian, Polish, Croatian, Russian, Ukranian, Georgian, Armenian, Iranian, Indian, Nepali, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Laotian, Thai, Philippino, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban, Peruvian, Ecuadorean, Brazilian, Colombian, Argentinian, Salvadorean, Honduran, Jamaican, Nigerian, Ethiopian, Egyptian, and even Moroccan. Also, for those who aren’t familiar, Charlotte has the biggest Buffalo diaspora outside of Buffalo NY. There are several restaurants that serve Beef on Weck, Buffalo wings and Buffalo style pizza that had the mini curl pepperonis. There are also tons of NYC owned pizzerias, also Chicagoan owned spots with deep dish, Deteoit style pizza spot, a Cleveland pizzeria in East Charlotte, NY and New Jersey style Greek diners , New Orleanian Cajun spots, Maryland blue crab spot, I could go on and on. There is something for everyone.

As long as residents of a small quiet town go on the You Tube channels and paint a pretty picture of their small quiet town it will attract tens of thousands of disgruntled Californian residents to relocate to those small quiet towns; and they will drive up the prices of real estate; causing apartment rentals to rise in price and the cost of existing homes and newly built houses to be overpriced!

Of course responses to videos helping people choose their next location often get comments like yours. People on the move could be for military or retirement or because of a certain part of the country shares their values. One thing I find so quirky is that people mention California in 99 of those complaints like only Californians move lol. Those checking out areas could be from anywhere. They have their own reasons and my main point here us that people watching these videos are already going to move. This realtor doesn't go to and fro throughout the nation finding lost souls who have no idea where to live and then forcing them to move to Gastonia North Carolina through some brilliant video LOL. In the process of considering a move, people look up specific areas that they are already interested in so that they can compare them. Realtors don't make people move to areas. They simply show us things that we cannot see on our own and make our decision making process easier. If videos like this did not exist, my husband and I over the last five years would have had to take airplane trips and hotel lodging to the top 10 locations we were considering. We can certainly find statistics and data online. But videos give you a sense of place. Especially when it comes to smaller towns, many have incredible statistics and you don't know why on Earth they are so inexpensive. And then all you have to do is see one video and you will find a bunch of rundown buildings downtown and you realize okay, this town is just kind of yucky so it's not for me. Videos like this save people time and money. And I for one appreciate them greatly. But seriously on your comment, I just don't think that your idea is realistic. Who on Earth is going to look up Gastonia, North Carolina unless they already had some idea that they wanted to be in that general area and then begin scoping out towns. And so, like me people are probably considering areas nearby and just needed some eyes on the ground to know whether it can stay in consideration or we can check it off the list.

There are excellent facilities all over the city plus your never to far from major medical centers or just easy pop in and out facility's like the urgent care facilities that are scattered around the region.
