Trés bel air celtique. Les musiciens jouent avec coeur. Les violoneux font chanter leur violon. C'est très beau! Merci!

Many people from Cheticamp migrated here to Waltham Massachusetts in the 20s (and way before,too, in 1700s). My grandparents came down in the 20s and a part of Waltham was called little Canada. Many worked at the Watch Factory in the winter and then migrated back to Canada to farm in the summer. Riverdance bastardized the jigs and cadrilles, originally by girls step dancing in the kitchen, not on stage.

Quadrilles?
@watchcity20689 ай бұрын
@@erikm8372my memory is of perhaps 4 girls step dancing (in the kitchen) but not line dancing... My original ancestor came from Ireland and his name was Frank White. When he got to Nova Scotia they changed his name to Francois LeBlanc, LOL
@UISTMAN598 ай бұрын
@@watchcity2068 I presume you have more than one "original ancestor" :-) Frank White's parents came before him and each of would presumably be an "original ancestor" :-) :-)

Remembering those wonderful workshops in Miltown Malbay with Leanne, Kolten and Jesse. Wonderful people. Come back soon. Your appearances on stage at the recitals fairly livened up the place too! Go, Capers!
