Some of my best memories of my 76 year long life have been the spring and fall roundups and trailing the cattle from the deserts to the mountains in the spring then back in the fall. I just got my cows to their winter range yesterday. When you trail cattle days on end the sound of this clip will play in your head even when you are far removed from the herd.

❤🎉 Your videos are cool. I don't know much about Idaho. What MTN range is that, are they part of the Rockies?? Such beautiful scenery. Do people live in those hills and are there towns and stuff?? My brother is in Denver and it can be hard to navigate into the hills and mountains. I'm in Wisconsin very beautiful and green with just enough gentle hills lol. If America ever got "healed" and I did too, and money was no object as God intended, I'd love a place or second home on the Pacific, it's beauty is so stunning... Thanks for sharing your videos. ❤️🙂🇺🇲

Thank you so much for the kind comment. Yes, we are part of the Rocky Mountains, and yes, people live up in the canyons and hills. There are several small towns within the valley as well.

It’s beautiful there. I live in Mo now. I did live I Alaska for 20 year. And I wished that I had never moved. But now I would like to find a place in Idaho. I love living in the mountains. I was listening to Heidi on Rain country. She mentioned you are a ham operator in your letter. My husband and I have our ham license. He checks in weekly with the ham group in town. But I only do once in a while. I have a garden every year and do a lot of canning. If I don’t grow enough or have a bad year I’ll go to the farmers market and get what I need. I also make quilts, bags, wallets, backpacks and etc. and I’m a substitute teacher. So I stay really busy. Stay warm out there. Have a great week and God Bless!

That's great! Where in Missouri do you live? We just moved from the St. Louis area. Yes, I have my general class license, and Eric has his extra. Which net do you check into? We have a local one here. Honestly, I think checking into the net is one of the most comforting things there is. Thank you for your comment, and I hope you're able to settle down here in Idaho. It's absolutely lovely here.

@@littlehomeinthevalley hi guys, we live in Poplar Bluff. Right on the tip of the Boothill. I was born and raised here and left in 1979 to Ak, left there in 2000. And crazy as it may be returned. I really hate it here though. But I remarried a high school boyfriend which now is a retired state trooper. And he “ thinks” he has settled down here. lol The woman has to work her magic. lol. I asked my husband what net he checks into and he doesn’t anymore. So it looks like we are going to have to start. I have my technician but wanting my general. He has his general. Right now we are using our hand held radios. We need to get a really good antenna up. We have a base but found out by going to a Self Reliance class that we need one with a high out put. What I want to do is be able to relay a message to my kids in NV, IF the SHTF. We also learn that we need to purchase Starlink. Have a great week and stay warm.

@Cherylsminifarm Oh okay, I know where you are. We were in Fenton.... actually between Fenton and Arnold. Yeah, I don't miss Missouri at all. It's beautiful, but that humidity is suffocating. Good luck with the radios! My call sign is KC9JLJ.

No they do not they are for bookkeeping, ease of handling because their easier to identify and also some ear tags have fly insecticide to help flys from swarming the cattle there is several uses but that pretty much covers it some people even use two different colors to help identify between the two genders easier! Notice I said 2 genders

We have a very similar (the same?) bladder is this a Temu find? We've only used ours twice so far and were wondering how long it will actually last, fingers crossed.

Seems to me that you can raise that bladder up on your tank and then use gravity to fill the camper... less work and trouble with pumps
@littlehomeinthevalley3 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment. I'm not sure exactly what you mean, though. Raise it how? What tank are you referring to? Do you mean place the bladder on the hood of the truck and then fill it?
@mjrootz3 ай бұрын
@@littlehomeinthevalley lol no but maybe build a platform for it in the bed of your truck. It doesn’t have to be that much higher than the tank in your camper.

@mjrootz Ahhh, I see what you mean. Yeah, that's a good idea in hindsight, but the pump works well for us (and we already bought it). Thanks again for the input. Hopefully, that'll work for someone else.

Or just park the RV next to you neighbor and connect the water hose directly to the RV for continuous water

Unfortunately, the ground is too low and soggy in that area, and we would have blocked his gate. Also, he uses that spigot, so it would have been a little intrusive. Great observation, though. 😉

Guess the winters in Idaho are a bit too brisk to live in the 5th wheeler unless you got creative with site prep. Nice train. When I was a little kid, the last steam engine in Georgia came by right in front of our house. Similar sounding 'whistle' instead of the diesel train horns.
@littlehomeinthevalley3 ай бұрын
That whistle was incredible! I'll bet that train shook your house! As for winter, we discussed putting in a wood stove, but in the end, we'll most likely over-winter near my parents' home in a much warmer state, with the periodic trip back here to check on the house. 😊
