British justice, much like IRA justice but without the prison system.

"I may die, but the Republic of 1916 will never die. Onward to the Republic and liberation of our people." We need to revive this craving for a Northern Irish Republic. Is a man free when a 'foreign, oppressive British presence' roams over his lands, marches through his streets, spits on his nation's corpses and has the courage to say it is his land?

even though i'm not Irish still this song makes me cry,i mean literally. Such a strong and proud nation.
When i listen to this i can almost feel the barley shaking in the field. The ships are laden enroute to Van Demons land with Cromwell at the helm and potatoes rotting in the field. We are on the one road.

one of my favourite songs purely because of the line "you dare to call me a terrorist while you look down your gun" that line is really effective.

It is one of the best lines I have ever heard in a song. It is pointing out so subtle who is the aggressor.

Same tune as Kaw-Liga, isn't it? Seems like a strange overlap. I would guess this came first? When was this song written?
@hellhoundactual82017 жыл бұрын
Kaw-Liga come out in 52-53 area The South Armagh Sniper had to have been written around late 1990s early 2000s (As the 'South Armagh Conflict' happened in the early 90s.

I just finished this epic new book about Irish gangs in industrial Brooklyn during WWI, EXILE ON BRIDGE STREET. Awesome. A great adventure about a teenage emigrant sucked into gang life in a dangerous world of union thugs, corrupt police, Italian Brooklyn nasty dudes and Irish who live in Irishtown on the water that kill to protect their power over labor, which feeds their families. Look it over on amazon here: tinyurl.com/hkl7u57

Kharisma this is the Wolfe tones version, although not as good as Sínead O'Conner and the chieftains but it is pretty good with a sped up pacing for more casual and more relaxed versions. think, sínead's version gives you chills where this is more relaxed

I don't care for this song, it never mentions the citizen's army and makes it out that connolly was a part of the IRA, never mentions his beliefs, makes him sound like a nationalist; this one is much more beautiful and much more accurate: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep6kqYiag89mrJI
