I remember this was broadcast on Brit TV, circa 1971, on Sunday mornings.

Lucy Warner had a vital supporting role as Gina. She began as a Shakespearean actress at only age 16 and enjoyed a brief television career ending with Strange Paradise (1969). Does anyone know what became of her after 1970? She had such dignity, beauty, and promise.

The 'futuristic plaza complex' is Toronto City Hall (aka 'New' Toronto City Hall), designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell in 1958 but completed in 1965; it was at the time one of the most celebrated Modern buildings in North America and is still going strong today.

Lawrence Dobkin was an American actor on old time radio shows and on the early years of television. He was also in the 1970 movie "Patton".

If you (the host of this channel) are interested, a group called the Shevchenko Musical Ensemble will be reviving a work for male chorus and orchestra it commissioned from Morris Surdin called "A Feast of Thunder". It was premiered in 1973 and will be presented again this summer 2019. If you are a relative of Mr. Surdin perhaps you would like to attend or be involved in some way. If so, look up Shevchenko Musical ensemble online and contact the group.

Driving to Niagara Falls from Montreal in the early 60"s my dad commented on hoe the Royal York Hotel was the tallest building in Toronto. Living in Montreal, I was proud of the fact that we were the largest city in Canada and we already had Place Ville Marie - I believe the tallest building in the Commonwealth at that time. Amazing how a governmnet's policies in the 70's turned the tide and relegated us to such a small stature compared to |Toronto

One More....My Dad was a suit with Sun Life....Their building was the largest in the Commonwealth untill Place Ville Marie in 65'.

It was the separatists getting in, in 76'.....that did it....Sun Life loaded up.....They demolished their only 20 year old Lord Simcoe Hotel property at University and King....and built their new Global HQ....taking with them about 10,000 employees...........they were the first breach in the dam....of the many to follow.. In a way it's a blessing.......Montreal is my absolute favourite city .....and she has kept all her charm that Toronto has demolished.

People may find this hard to believe but Vancouver's Dominion Building at 10 storeys (1910) was at the time the tallest building the then British Empire - only superseded four years later by the 14 storey Sun Tower, also in Vancouver. Both buildings still stand and are in very fine shape. Mies van der Rohe's black obsidian Dominion Tower in Toronto was a celebrated building at the time - perhaps not as iconic as new City Hall, but a herald of Toronto's ascendancy to 'number 1' in the 70s. Though I don't think for any of us Montreal has ever lost its lustre - its still the coolest place around.

As Corey said, more please if at all possible. Everything stopped in Ottawa, Canada when this show came on! I had to 'lobby' my parents to let me watch it! I became a huge Stephen Young and Austin Willis fan! Some great US guest stars appeared. Thanks so much. What a kick to see these again!

Only the last 4 episodes were shot in color. It had a $100,000 budget per episode. Small for a U.S one hour series. But was the most expensive TV show in Canada where it was made.

He was incredible....! Loved watching him write / a true genius. He'd write a score for all instruments without an instrument in front of him... Hours of writing and then he'd saunter off to the piano, pluck just one note, then he'd go back to writing for hours again. Unreal.
