I started playing Oathbreaker around the time Strixhaven came out. Love the format and I’m constantly trying to get people to try it out! Also it’s good to hear the format has branched out from combo only decks, I felt like that’s all people could think of building in the early days of the format!

Interesting idea, but chulane is definitely the home for alluren combo. Your deck is going to have consistency issues when you cant tutor for the lynch pin or your deck.

Tge problem with lutri isnt that hes strong or anything, its an auto include effectively in the hand for every single deck with izzet in its colors, which is really busted to give izzet a card that always starts in an accessible position with zero building restrictions.

I also have an Ojer deck. I like calling Ojer and Solphim "Pressure" decks. Punishing other decks for playing the game. Kind of like what a full court press does in a basketball game.

Love that people are still playing this format. One of my fav formats. Two newest decks I've built are; Gideon of the trials with Angels Grace for a never-die deck. And Lolth with Deadly Dispute. Black- sacrificial value deck.

I won't personally play in this format because I have personal distaste for spells in the command zone, BUT I am very glad you're having fun and I'm glad people can see your video and realize there are other options if they truly refuse to bend to the will of WotC

You got me building Oathbreaker decks on Moxfield... Like I didn't have 45 EDH decks there already hahaha

So, I've got a pod with 4 people, and a few others who sometimes drop in. One guy, who frequently hosts, was playing commander with a different pod for about a year before we started up, and has strong ideas on what's reasonable and what isn't, but has difficulty verbalizing it. I try to figure out exactly what he wants, and probably undershoot, and my decks only win when the table is focused on another player. Most of my decks are straightforward tribal. One guy likes complicated interactions, and wins most often with combos. One guy likes decks that build up, and often gets big creatures into play without casting them. One guy who used to play with us often made himself a target, with commanders like the most recent Braids. I wouldn't mind more distinctions beyond cEDH win by turn 3, preferably turn 1, and everything else. Don't think WOTC can do it effectively though.

Yavimaya and Urborg help triple black triple green, the rest the lands tap for red. Beseech for combo pieces.i put in artifact land to bargain. 28 land might be too much, maybe trim for some ramp.

That last game was so fun to watch, especially the ending.😂😂😂Anyway it was a nice deck, keep it up.

For haste, lavaspur boots might be a good add. Love the deck idea. Looks fun

I did one more pass at the decklist and changed a couple things. Cavern of Souls was added as another 3 color land since alll the creatures are Elementals. Spitebellows was added since you can evoke it to deal 6 damage to a Kavu. And even casting it for its Evoke will trigger Monstrous Vortex so it’s almost like Cut, except can hit bigger stuff and get you a free Discover 6.

What about Acererak the Archlich? It just hits the 5 power component and essentially gives you free dungeon ventures when you hit this combo
