From what I understand, a Cinemascope shows video content on the left and right side that the 16 x 9 does not it’s not a huge amount but there is images that you will not see on a 16 x 9 if you’re watching a movie that is in scope so I think that’s the reason why people choose in a scope is cause if the image is there, they want to be able to see it

There is 100% not more on the sides of a 2:35 picture...it's just hte middle of aa 16x9..with either screen shape you see the same picture amount. Nothing is cut off. Now if you get a 2.35 screen and try to watch things or use a madVR etc..it cust the picture to fit. Then you are losing.

The one thing I will disagree with is that these speakers don't do justice to Metallica. They obviously sound different than conventional designs, but if you feed it some decent metal recordings they can sound great. I do agree that you won't get the impact or the sheer volume that some other speakers can give you, but personally I think the trade off is well worth it.

I used to think that all 4K movies had Dolby Atmos., but it don't.. There's even some Blu-rays that have Dolby Atmos. And a lot of people leave out "Back surround speakers" and just have the Side surround speakers?? Without "Back surround speakers" you miss out on the full 360 Surround sound experience. Even with Atmos speakers.. I mean without Back surround speakers how can you really feel something coming from behind you? 🎛🎶🎛😲

Good video. For the uninitiated; Pulling the speakers away from the wall will allow for lower xover in terms of sound. It won't make your drivers more capable but it will lessen the boomy/muddy bass from the speaker so it all integrates better. I use the WASP method where you stand on the speaker wall and talk and slowly walk away from the wall, and the point where your voice sounds normal and not boomy is where I put my speakers.
@TheaterAdvice_FCAV
@TheaterAdvice_FCAV 2 күн бұрын
Good tip I use that too sometimes. I use Sumiko Masters...I just carry the speaker and feel it but voice can work as well. Can't always move them though...I try to blend what's right and what the client thinks looks bad.

Couple more points to add. I agree only buy the blockbusters and enjoy the highest quality. I do the same. Two more points I would add. #1 Purchase movies you liked growing up watching that were blockbusters. These movies have been released on 4K Blu-Ray and then K-Scape gets a copy as well. So instead of purchasing the blu-ray, which I still do, you can also pick it up on the K-Scape, or only pick it up on the K-scape. #2. Movies in theaters that are available early on K-Scape for $39.99 may be worth it, instead of taking the family to the theater and spending $200, buy it for your home theater on the K-Scape. They do however, need to bring the price down for the masses. And most people forget that K-Scape shut down once.

Sir, Great list of movies and music. Did you watch all of these vis KScape? If so, that's cheating! 😉 KScape surely has the best of everything via their environment. Better than 4k discs even. I'm envious of all of the Kscape owners, in many ways. Kscape with a proper system and proper room must be stellar! Like most families, I'm squeezing hard to get the last drop of performance out my very budget 7.2.4 system. The HT hobby is as much great fun as it is a reason to pull hair out by the handful. Very solid list! I only have TFA on DTS master so now I'll be buying the 4k. I like how you separated good Atmos mixes from just good mixes in general. I love that you included Book of Eli and Open Range. When Kevin Costner shoots the shotgun in the bar, HOLY COW. I think the movie you were thinking of at the end was Unbroken. Such a good into scene. One LFE scene that no one ever talks about is the MUTO scene in (2014) Godzilla at 1:16. It has really good surround effects when the MUTO goes under the bridge. I demo that scene about as loud as I can handle. Since you're a SW fan, Star Wars: attack of the clones 1:06:25. The astroid scene is one of my favorite demos ever. One demo I never see on these lists is Toy Story 2, the into. Lots of bass and they include a lot of "Skywalker Sound" sound effects randomly haha. Not the 4k Dolby atmos mix, but the DTS master on the old blu ray, Disney ruined it with the 4k. I subscribed and I hope to see more of your favs as time goes on.
