Great game there! I’m surprised how calm you were there when the queens where traded off. When he pushed his a5 pawn attacking your pawn pare why did you not take it though? Your down more pawns in the end game that way, plus I thing you could have defended them in some way with your rook no?
@MisterCV_Chess17 күн бұрын
Yea you're right. i could have played bxa5, Ra1 , Re8 , Rxa5 , Kb7. This probably a line I could have played which both side have 2 pawns. but I just thought it would be easier to just give him the pawn and play a rook endgame.
@gbaewatkins87617 күн бұрын
@ ooh okay interesting. I’m just trying to get into the headspace of a 2500. Did you think that line out fully in the game and realized it wouldn’t work, or did it just look wrong? Either way it turned out alright.

I played against your opponent before before! not a very good player blundered a piece in the opening, but I think your goal of 2500 is unreachable, my peak is 2300 rapid right now Im 2260 and its not because of your skill level or anything its because there is not enough people to play against to get to 2500 is takes 2-5 minutes form me to find someone 100 points below me or infinite points higher than me so this challenge is way better to do in blitz or bullet.
@MisterCV_Chess20 күн бұрын
That’s the whole point! I’m making this challenge difficult and not easy. Also thank you for the heads up about not enough people to play against to get 2500. I appreciate it! There’s a reason I don’t do Blitz. I cant commentate or explain my plan I’m too focus on the board same goes to bullet

@ yeah at 2200 there is around 3000 people at or better then you in raped and then you have to take in consideration how many of them are active or playing a game right now so I can’t even imagine how long it takes to find a opponent at 2500 level

I just came across your video for the first time. and i was wondering how long it took you to become 2000 elo? is this a type of game that you have to start when you're super young to be very good at it or you just have to grind out tons and tons of games to get good?
@MisterCV_Chess20 күн бұрын
Well if active play it took me 2.5 years of play chess to reach 2000 elo. And No you don’t have to start young to reach 2000 elo. I started playing chess when I was 14 during the pandemic 😷. Then around 2022-2023 I play but not that much. I would say getting to 2000 takes time and dedication! It’s like any other sport! To be better at it first you must understand after understanding you must input it into your games. Hope I answer your question!
