I drove by it yesterday and it was locked up with no trespassing signs up. Did you have to call someone to get access?

No. We did that twice too. When we went there were no, no trespassing signs on the outside fence but it was locked, we discovered you can walk around the gate because there is no fence and we got in that way. It's about a quarter mile walk to the Cemetery from the gate. When we got to the official cemetery gate, there was a no trespassing sign, but the gate was wide open. If you read about it, unfortunately the cemetery has had a lot of problems with vandalism, trash dumping and young kids going in there and doing nefarious things.

@ Gotcha. Yeah used to go there years ago often. Used to be no fence and gate at the front and you could drive back there and park in the cemetery. I’m afraid about getting in trouble with the law going back there now. It’s a shame.

This is Michael Devine former Superintendent of Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pinellas Park. Your visit to Inverness in the winter reminded me sooooo much of what i saw at Calvary Cemetery in January of 2000. Thats when i got hired to take over. Dead grass, broken equipment everywhere. Irrigation system did not work. No Colorful ornamental plants. The Inverness properties were well maintained , but very boring. The reason i am telling you this because i was the only Cemetery Boss that Over Seeded with Winter Rye Grass every year i was there. I was A Golf Course Superintendent For many years. I am an Expert in Turf and Ornamental Plants. I believe you were quite impressed with Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The Mausoleums really surprised you. I mailed my note books/Diary to the Office at Calvary about 5 years ago. They should still be there. I wrote a Magazine article that was published in March 2004. If want to go to the Office at Calvary and ask them if you look at these note books and Magazine Article . It is called "Why you should hire a Golf Course Guy to run your Cemetery. @@suebass4495 Well I'll be going to Idaho too eventually...you see I'm on a mission. My momma passed in 2020 of pancreatic cancer at 65 years old. Years before she was ever sick, she told me she wanted to sing in all 50 states. My momma was a somewhat famous karaoke singer, everyone knew her, especially here in Florida. She was a very youthful older woman and dressed like it ( studs, rhinestones, always in heels, hair and make up on point ). Her most beloved song was "Me and Bobby McGee" Janis Joplin. So since she passed, I have been traveling quarterly to states I've never been to to sing her song and carry out her bucket list.

I did not litter, or destruct this cemetery in any way. I actually went back and watched it to ensure that everything I said and did was respectful of the departed. The only thing I would recommend to anyone watching is that a volunteer maintenance group be started to restore the cemetery to its original integrity. This cemetery needs help and should such a group be started, I would be happy to volunteer.

Look, I went back and watched the video and I was very respectful of the Cemetery, it's done, nothing I can do about it now, it was like a year ago I am sorry if it offends you. There are far worse cemetery commentators on the internet, people who hop fences to talk to spirits at night after hours when the cemetery is closed. You said anything to them ? It was broad daylight and I wasn't even there for 10 minutes.

I did research, always do. Very limited and no info on who to call to enter. We were there for less than 30 minutes. Whoever is in charge of maintenance for this cemetery are the ones who should be ashamed. Broken headstones, over grown and no care what so ever for the departed at rest here. If you have family here, maybe you could lead a maintenance team to help restore the cemetery to it's original integrity. They've done exactly that in the colored cemeteries in Crystal River.

There is a sign on the fence with phone numbers to call, and posting this online without prior rightful permission it’s honestly disrespectful.

@@avagrenke6196 Maintenance teams are almost always a group of volunteers. I've seen it in Kentucky and all over Florida. The fence needs to be replaced and pad locked and even I wouldn't have gone in, but I traveled a long distance and I was there only briefly in respect of the departed. There used to be a beautiful sign for the cemetery, that could easily be replaced. It was clear that the cemetery had been neglected. Look up CMG family, Crystal River Memorial Gardens. This is a 100% volunteer organization that quarterly cleans up the Crystal River Memory Gardens Cemetery. They have classes on Cemetery clean up and how to organize volunteer groups to maintain cemeteries. I've actually wanted to join one myself which is why I got this information.

@thisiscaloween9037 wondering if you read the signs and got permission? And I'm not sure if where a tree fell down on the fence is an entrance that you can say is a gate to enter? I wish you would call and get the true history and information about this cemetery. But in the same sense it's a private cemetery and no one is allowed there unless you have permission and or related. There is now live security cameras there and do to the vandalism the family will issue trespassing warnings then charges will be pressed .

@@samanthamurray2487 I hope they do. I've often taken trash bags with me and collected trash at many cemeteries while I was at them. I always research the history of the cemeteries before I go, some just don't have much information online unfortunately. This was one of them. My Spring Hill cemetery was the same way, people go there and disrespect the departed all the time, doing seances and conjurings, we don't do that. It was a beautiful cemetery, rich in history. We prayed prior to going in. Many of my video's speak to proper cemetery etiquette.

Great video, thank you! I saw Sunny Day Real Estate in 1998, San Francisco. First song they played was In Circles, and it was magical! Absolutely soaring and glorious. It was the first time they ever played in San Francisco, and the band was blown away by the enthusiasm of the audience. (The show is on youtube, it was at the Maritime Hall). They played Pillars next, and the entire show was incredible. Definitely one of my concert highlights, im so glad to see them back, happy, and playing to big crowds. Long may they run! Cheers!

We were actually supposed to go to New Orleans during this time, but I was just randomly searching tour dates for Sunny Day on line out of curiosity and found out they were playing in Atlanta and we changed our plans to go see them because they've been my favorite band for a long time. We just got tickets for the one day to see them. Caught a new band I really like there as well called Blondshell. Don't know if you knew, but Jeremy Enigk has also done a lot of solo stuff that's really good and still plays with Nate Mendel and William Goldsmith in another band called "The Fire Theft", I love that music as well.

I’m making my Oompah Loompah costume now!! I hadn’t thought about the shoes, so I appreciate the shoe decor you made. I am having trouble finding a wig . I did find one at a thrift store and am going to try to style it myself. For the eyebrows, I actually found in a dollar store some fake mustaches for children’s play dress up and I am going to just paint those white and stick them on because they come with the sticky side.

how far in advance do you make the crayola magic piece for your chin and nose? Right before you do your make up or can you make it a day in advance?

I created the piece the day and time I put it on my face. This will allow moisture and motion. You do not want the piece to dry or it will crack. Spirit gum works beautifully to adhere the pice to your skin, even while moist.

This is fabulous!!! You are very talented. I love creating costumes! So many over the years .. When my kids were little, you couldn't buy cute, quality costumes like you can now. My favorite was when my 6 year old daughter was The Little Mermaid (died a leotard with tea to make skin color) and sewed the shell bra and tail out of green and lavender lame material. And my 3 year old son was Sebastian (so easy. I used a red hoodie sweat suit. I glued ping pong balls on the top of the hood for eyes. I bought extra red fleece and sewed the claws. Great memories 😉

Thomas is my wife's GG-Grandfather, he is the son of Tampa pioneer Pierre Claude Constant BOURQUARDEZ, who went by the name Constant in Tampa. He arrived from Alsace France to St. Augustine Florida in 1833 and later homesteaded near downtown Tampa on the Hillsborough River around 1847. Constant Bourquardez was neighbor and good friends with the Joseph Robles and family. Constant and Joseph both served night duty in the Tampa militia guarding the outskirts of the town from Seminole Indian raids. From the Book: Tampa town, 1824-1886: the cracker village with a latin accent pg. 13 "A night guard duty was maintained on the outskirts of the town against possible Indian raids.
