Amanda was beautiful. The best actress i ever saw. It was so sad that her career ended the way it did. She was the brightest actress in Hollywood. She would have become a superstar in all the top films. She was literally my first crush when i was a kid. I would watch can’t buy me love all the time just to see Cindy Mancini. It was more than that though. It was a life lesson. The role that she played taught me that popularity isn’t everything, and that just because someone is perceived to be a nerd or idiot like Ronald was, it doesn’t mean that the most beautiful girl cannot fall in love with you, and you should always be yourself and not change who you are to please others.

I did not realize this amazing beautiful and talented lady had passed .. She struggled and am saddened she didn't get her happily ever after ..she was and will ever be young in my mind and hopefully She has peace 😢

I met her and she was Lovely to me in 1998. I had a short but very exhilarating meeting with her. I just really liked her and wanted her to sign a ticket I had in my pocket. She signed my ticket as she made eye-contact with me that was 'Spooky-good' she took and put the ticket back in my hand looking into my eyes as she was doing it, like she was in control. She then said in a whisper "Thank you....you made my Day 'Babe" as she went to sit back down again, I held her arm & hand as she got back in the Lincoln Town Car, rear seat. She had soft and firm skin. I liked it. I was blown away! She waves and SMILED w/ a beautiful toothy smile at me. Before she never smiled. She didn't frown either, her expression was captivating to me, looking back on this meet. I waved [ probably looking like a teenager ] as she drove away. I was kind of in Shock. I have met many Celebrities. Rare that I am knocked off my feet by them. That came [only] from two other primary actresses who are Big in the entertainment industry. I thought that Mandy was probably pretty cool, but ya know... she made me feel like I was back in High School. If it sounds campy, I really don't care. She treated me like I mattered to her. How many people can say this. Of all the Celebs that I have met....I felt like we had a mini-love affair- lol. Amanda showed me that she cared enough to make me feel good. She had been violated in her life, which I 'Hated' that Fact. And yet she was comfortable enough to move toward me and make contact with me... using her lips. That says everything to me, about her heart and mind. I would NEVER have believed that after seeing her in Can't Buy Me Love, that I would meet her, much less have this happened. Thank You GOD.

Rest in peace Amanda. This person was hurt at a young age and it changed her. She was a survivor. Sad that she passed away. My favorite photo is when her and Patrick Dempsey were together. They were young and happy.

She was a lady and never cheated on her husband. She was a beautiful soul and so funny. I miss her everyday. I feel blessed to have spent time to be with her. She was so sick of Hollywood...I considered her my friend.

@@miranda8870 I met her when she was separated. She was so sweet and funny. It was in the early 90's. People would come and say you look like that girl from can't buy me love. And she answered, I get that all the time and laughing saying I wish.

She was such a funny person, and not a snob. She was married, she never cheated. I respected her. We just laughed together. I feel that I let her down..
