I put open diffs in mine and it's a game changer. Loses maybe 10% of its off-road capability but the turning circle is twice as tight.

No I believe it was a Reds engine in that car at the time of filming. The truck belongs to a race buddy of mine so that is why I am not 100% sure.

Is there anything that can be done to stop one set of wheels spinning and the other set just stop and do nothing when the weight comes off them? If the front wheels on mine come up off the ground at all, they spin and the rear ones seem to stop trying to push and I see that on a lot of other videos on here.

@rcrelatedstuff6092 can it go any faster then that?
@rcrelatedstuff609212 күн бұрын
@ Yes it can. There are several motor options. This is the 1:50 ratio one. I would say that it can go twice as fast atleast
@andrewdauphinee12 күн бұрын
@@rcrelatedstuff6092 was wonder9mg if brushless is really worth it or if I should just get another 300rpm and save brushless for another build,that does look super slow!
@rcrelatedstuff609212 күн бұрын
@@andrewdauphinee Definitely go brushless. Night and day difference in how you can control the throttle. As mentioned you have several options all from 1:5 up to 1:100 in motors. I would say that 1:50 is the perfect match for a crawler. Super controllable but still enough power overcome the worst obstacles. Maybe even go for 1:30 if you want even more speed. Is your build a pure crawler?

During the first few seconds of that video, I could have sworn it was real lol. The sound and the props (cone and fences etc) around the machine just really worked together beautifully so it really looked and sounded realistic. I dont know how you time the machine sounds so well to the actions of the 1580 but its spot on also. Love it!!

That's such a cool buggy, and a nice little bit of wasteland for a bash, very nice! It's been a while since I had an 8th scale out, hopefully I find time soon...
