Wise words, I realized the true strength comes from within not from the social circle. I still don't make friends to hangout, however create work related connections. I live my life to the fullest and the work Being Alone has reinforced my confidence in myself and what I can achieve.

My true friend is my beautiful cat, no words need to be spoken, just a genuine unconditional true connection of friendship based on trust and loyalty, and the occasional belly tickle. I thought I might reply. I work in an environment that requires social interactions and tonight I will attend the annual Christmas party. I will laugh and dance with others, eat and drink my fill. When the party is over, I will drop the curtain of pretence and will arrive home alone. Not one thing that happens tonight will be of any significants, not one word will matter. Tomorrow, I will attend my employment, listen to the gossip and do my job. Then I will return home alone. My children do not want me this Christmas, they have grown up. I will Christmas alone with a smile on my face. To be alone is to be with the only one that matters, and the only judgement I need is from myself. Merry Christmas!
