Would be better if you showed how to re-connect the very very very small ribbons that appear to connect directly to pins. (top center, top right). I think (after 20 minutes of trying and trying and trying) I got the right one connected. But the top one just sits against the thing I presume it is supposed to slide into. If I try to push it, it just folds up. On top of that I am 49 and can't see crap, even with a magnifying glass and reading glasses. TERRIBLE design decision. EDIT, but now I see it too can flip up, but not only that, it can flip up, come off with easy, vanish, causing me to have to throw everything away including my new decoder screen. Cool!

I have the exact opposite problem that is described: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIqqaWyVgMmfepI It says "…if your touchscreen is working but your home button is not…" My home button is working, but the touchscreen is not. I've seated it, and reseated it on the connector a few times. Time and again, the home button works, indicating I have a connection, but the touch screen is non-responsive. Now what? Why does it give an explanation for one case, but not the other?

I’ll leave the window permanently open and then put the TV back on the wall and then put louvers on the outside of the house so you don’t get rain coming in
@KO-HandymanАй бұрын
But all this while you had a window. You could’ve used all the skill and cutting of things to make some type of adapter for the window so that you could keep the screen there, but open the window and somehow have the elephants trunk vent out the window.

Here’s the pain in the ass about having a portable unit, especially up in your attic. The thing is gonna fill with water and you have to get rid of that water and you don’t have to keep stopping to pick it up and dump it out.. you’ll need that thing for a while before you even watch a movie so you may wanna put a hose on it and just have it drip out into a bucket or something. That thing on the wall have a little hose gravity dripped the water out the window.
@KO-HandymanАй бұрын
If you’re willing to go to the length of cutting a hole in the wall, you might as well just move the TV
@KO-HandymanАй бұрын
Here’s some good advice, move the screen to the other side of the attic and just open the damn window. That’s the best way to exhaust the hot air. I would honestly move the screen to the opposite side of the attic and put a really quiet window unit in. A window unit that’s got a programmable schedule or thermostat. So it keeps the attic at a specific temp. That would probably be worth your time.

This is what I should have. But the suggestion i can pick locks is ridiculous. You need special tools for that. Modern locks don't just open with a pin and a credit card. I can get through one but it's ruined by the time I'm inside.

Well the problem is youre not just venting out hot air, youre venting carbon monoxide so it could kill you or someone in another room, no?
@elitesportsmedia2 ай бұрын
How are venting carbon monoxide?
@htsahtsa20632 ай бұрын
No, you cannot get carbon monoxide poisoning from a portable air conditioner. Portable ACs do not produce carbon monoxide because they do not use gas. Carbon monoxide (or CO) is produced by fuel-burning machines and because portable air conditioners use electricity, they are unable to emit carbon monoxide.

Maybe someone can help me understand what adhesive is best to use for the electronic component that connects to the board and does it need to be conductive? My replacement screen did not come with pre installed adhesive so would like to know what to use. Maybe some thermal paste? Thanks for the help

If you wanna take of the old screen without struggling leave your phone about 10 to 5 percent of battery and shut it down and heat up your screen with a hair dryer because every iPhone has a special glue that prevents the screen to fall off and it’s much faster and safer if you do this way
