Very similar LC experience as you. I fully recovered after a year for a year. Last October I got food poisoning and it all came back. I got to 80% recovered and then August I had a viral herx reaction to a probiotic and have been severe ever since. I get this SEVERE autonomic dysfunction, hyperPOTS, just constant fight or flight. Literally having days of staring at a wall breathing. This time is real bad though, I'm experiencing massive PEM and it's presenting as severe ME/CFS on top of the hyperPOTS. So if I let my HR get too high I get PEM and get even worse, insomnia, burning brain, higher heart rate/adrenaline. I had to quit my chill remote job as I'm not able to care for myself fully. I'm only able to walk a couple hundred steps a day. It sucks because the tools I used in the past like walks and cold showers I'm not capable of doing anymore. Primarily bed bound and there's no way I could get to a doctor, I'd have to climb up and down all of the stairs in my apartment to go outside, my hr would go crazy.

Have you tried making homemade kefir? It’s the only thing that helps the anxiety for me. I started with long covid in january 2021 and was up and down for a long time. I still just have some anxiety left (and the symptoms that come with that) and i believe its because covid destroyed my gut bacteria (which i dont think was great before covid). This is my version of the viral Star Wars Galaxies Edge TikTok that I watched over and over when I was bed bound and not knowing if I would wake up the next morning. It’s been a hell of a ride and I continue to look for the positives in life. I never thought this dream would come true and just making this video brought tears to my eyes thinking about how much happiness this trip brought me and how much hell I have battled over the last 2.5 years. Over the 9 days I only had one day that I was a bit off. And considering we went full press and did over 20,000 steps a day, thats a hell of a feat. Thank you to my partner Jen for always encouraging me to keep fighting and helping me get past the mental block. Even down to the very end I didn’t think I should make this trip because “I didn’t know how I would feel each day”. Thank you to all of my followers for allowing me to post here and share my journey. @@HMonk-hd1zr very interesting! I to found that at the beginning drinking would help but for me that could get out of hand very quickly as it would rid me of so many of my symptoms. Either that or just make me not “feel” them anymore. That lead me to the gaba glutamate theory and to Ativan. Which helped temporarily in the worst of it. Since been off that now for awhile but have it for when the panic gets terrible which is very rarely now. Look into the gaba and glutamate imbalance in long COVID. Do you have Reddit? I leaned so much from a couple of specific posts from one user on this. I could link it for you.

I have been on it for a little over 3 months. My long covid symptoms are mostly neurological, digestive issues and fatigue. I started my dose with .5mg for a couple of weeks and didn't notice much. Went up to 1.0mg and after a few days noticed my brain fog and headaches were reduced. Still really tired though. Every few weeks I would add .5mg and evaluate. At 1.5mg my headaches were almost gone and I was able to focus but still tired. Went to 2.0mg and my head felt heavy and the brain fog came back. I was only at 2.0mg for 4 days and went back to 1.5mg. The negative symptoms could have been due to something else. Just out of pure curiosity I will go back to 2.0mg just to see what happens. I think that is the tricky part figuring out your dose. Reading other people's stories it seems starting low and working your way up seems to have more success.
