May our Lord continue to grant eternal blessed repose to His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh who dedicated himself to his faithful in his Metropolis of Pittsburgh which spans Pennsylvania except Greater Philadelphia, eastern Ohio running from Lorain through Columbus to the southeast tip of Ohio and West Virginia. His Eminence is buried outside the Chapel of the St. Gregory Palamas Greek Orthodox Monastery in Perrysville, Ohio, near Haysville, in Ashland, County. Metropolitan Maximos founded this Monastery. Archbishop Iakovos of America came to consecrate it.

I remember as a kid watching an iconographer do this in our church many years ago. He did it on his own.. lying down on his back. It was so incredibly perfect.. I asked him how he did it. He smiled and replied “I don’t know how.. God drew it.. I just held the pencil”

Sono rimasta affascinata dal modo deciso con cui ha realizzato questa icona . Complimenti...anche perché dover stare con la testa in quella posizione non è per niente facile

The Divine Trinity that the Church worships is really a personification of consciousness as 3 parts that are manifested in our human lives, from mortality, breath & transfiguration to immortality that is expressed in The Father (Energy), the Mother (Matter) & the Child (Son/Daughter) the offspring. Low, Middle, High; Left, Center, Right, Black, White, & Gray, Hot, cool/warm, Cold are reflective in IT.

Dr. Kordis has a team of 5 painters who travel here from Greece, so you can imagine the cost involved with transportation, lodging, meals, supplies, etc., to say nothing of the cost of the services of world-class artists. That said, they are at present completing further work on the church you see in this video which my wife and I attend, and the whole congregation is amazed at how quickly and beautifully Dr. Kordis' team is painting their unbelievably beautiful murals.

The guy with the charcoal stick is good, very good. Its hard enough to get that crispness and vitality when you are working with charcoal and paper on a table, never mind on the end of a stick several feet above your head. Especially the way he does the hands and fingers, AWESOME control. I'm guessing he has done many similar paintings before and knows the shapes and forms intimately.

Thank you for the insight of such a sacred and sacrosanct process. Few through out history have had the opportunity of to view the creation through artistry of icons to behold the beginning of "Christ the Pantocreator " . I am much humbled and I thank you.
