This is a really attractive unit and game to play. Ive got it on VPIN. Do you know what activates the magnasave? What do i need to hit to keep reactivating? Thanks for this review btw. 👍. LOVE this game.

The artwork, audio and playfield layout are perfect. The only issue is the code. Perfect game for a remake with some deeper code added and for me it would be the perfect game.

Different strokes, but I don't care for the PinSound upgrade. Nothing beats the original soundtrack and callouts. You can tell that the guy who considers it is his favorite game is not fond of it either. lol

Great video that really hits home for me. Just picked-up a German re-import (in the USA) Twilight Zone and the machine plays pretty well but I need to replace the clock board, the Powerball sensor by the trough and one Power magnet flipper. Great and pretty deep game.

You can put TWO balls in the back box and it really thumps fast and racks up points. Probably not designed for this but it does work. And $1 bell from Dollar Tree to put a real bell in the back box. Spring for the Color DMD - LED version. It is totally worth it.

Great pin but not my top 5. I love the toys and 4 flipper shots but ball flow gameplay isn't as smooth as theater magic.

Just unlocked it on the mobile, great fun but like you say the side show drains the flow, and trying to get the ball along those long ramps can be tiresome sometimes when u just want a quick multiball happening but the colours and lights are fantastic ( even on the mobile its a real treat to see )

When I was a kid, I remember the chair going up and down. Am I crazy or were their versions where this happened? There was no Fester on the chair either.

no, the chair never moved, but you are correct, Fester was not on the chair, that is an after market mod.

Thanks for your thoughts but that is what the videos are about. Problems with the game. Fish Tales is a reliable game, much more than say Star Trek Next Generation or Twilight Zone. Less parts, less worry. Some of these are simply adjustments more than game breaking.

Have you thought about having a section where the playfield is lifted so you can show how particular features work and how to resolve issues? Also it's hard to see what you're looking at sometimes with the camera angle... And it would be nice to see some proper gameplay. Maybe a two player game!

Another awesome episode. I love these and look forward to every episode. I am planning on adding a monster bash to my lineup in 2022. It has been a long time favourite that has eluded me thus far. I honestly hope that you are nominated for a twipy award this year as I find your videos to be the best. Love hearing the tips from the guru, Rod Brooks in regards to tweaking the gam a too.

Had this game in my collection and I sold it to my brother, only because I didn't want it to leave the family. He maxed it out with LEDs, color dmd and other mods and looks fantastic. I love the mist murtiball and the coffin lock. One of the best scary pins made. Great video fellas.

I have a TZ, Fishtales, and a Red and Ted's Roadshow. All three machines have led color dmd displays installed and they look absolutely amazing. These color dmd displays currently are priced at around $439.00 and up ... depending on what machine you have. These color dmd's are low voltage and are much more energy efficient than the original orange dmd's. I also strongly recommend you upgrade your sound board with a Pinsound board system.
