Many lives have been saved by belts been used as tourniquets, that method you showed is just a poor example of how a belt can be used. It was mentioned below that instead of showing people a poor example and saying it can't be done how about you do some research into different ways other than what you see on TV and in movies because it's widely known that media is incorrect most of the time. Not everyone lives in a country where we might be facing a life or death situation daily due to poor firearm laws like those in the USA and as such most people around the world don't carry a tourniquet daily if at all because it is just dead weight so educating people on ways to improvise emergency items rather then saying "go buy purpose built products" is a better approach, especially because when you factor in this is an international platform and currency conversion rates, just because something may be cheap where you live doesn't mean it's cheap for everyone. A purpose built chest seal is far better than one improvised out of tape and a plastic bag but it'll still give someone enough time to get to the ER, a purpose built bandage is far better than the shirt of your back but your shirt will still contain the bleed.....learn to improvise.

Don’t get the gauze with chitosan, people with shellfish allergies with react and you’ll have another problem.

The problem is you do not know how to use the belt as a tourniquet. Next time, educate yourself, instead of implying that it doesn't work well. It works extremely well if you know how to use the belt as a tourniquet. Poor misleading video post.

Definitely better than a SWAT-T. But I also like the SWAT-T for EDC due to it being multifunctional. You can use it for a firestarter, improvised cordage, Hawaiian spear, slingshot plus if it’s an orange one it can be used for trail markers.

I carry a cat 7 tourniquet, cellox gauze&chest seals in a fanny pack at any big event I go to. Haven’t even gotten a side eye from any security to date
