Liar, you still need the ID after it restored.... its a activation lock.... you dont tell so logged out of the ipad restore tru this steps, so ipad is empty but then after you want to use it you still need the old apple ID that i dont have the password from... So this does not work what you show..

Apple is pretty scummy, I did every step in like 10 tutorials all telling me to do the same thing, itunes will not connect and it won't even go into recovery mode in the first place

Helpful but why 2 type of phones where used especially for a phone that has a home button.

How rediculous for both apple and WhatsApp companies.perhaps oneday they should be both replaced by some other companies who kindly treat their users. Apple just give you a way to transfer your WhatsApp data when you first use the phone to set it up.Otherwise you have to erase all data to start. Whatsapp unlike QQ,WeChat,offers no direct transfer solution from Android to iPhone. This is what's the so called big companies are doing now to their users.
