Yes, proof of banking is a mandatory requirement. You can either provide a photo of the front side of your ATM card,1-page bank statement or a cancelled cheque.

Hi Ann, I'm an agent for both Sanlam and CIC. Being a CIC agent means you now have an option if you ever need a second MMF for a different financial goal. Based on my experience, most people need more than one MMF. Ways you can use MMFs: 1. Sinking Funds 2. Accumulate savings for bigger investments such as bonds 3. To invest your emergency fund 4. To save and store funds for non-monthly expenses such as insurance, school fees etc

The current rate is 5.15% These are the documents required: ✅ Copy of national ID (front & back) or passport ✅ KRA PIN ✅ Passport photo (a clear selfie is also acceptable) ✅ Photo of the front side of your ATM card or 1-page bank statement *this must be a USD bank account domiciled in Kenya* ✅ USD 1,000
