While I agree that expectations should be managed, I do not agree with the video as a whole as it's message seems very negative. The reason I believe we should manage expectations is that if you let your imagination run wild on features and how the game is going to be, you run the risk of being underwhelmed when the game actually comes out Just making a blanket statement of "Don't get your hopes up this game will be released" isn't a message that should be spread. And though that wasn't word for word what the video said, the negative outlook of the video makes it feel very much like that's what the core message it.

I appreciate the feedback. I would agree that the video came out more negative than I originally intended. I've just seen so much hype about how this game is going to blow The Sims out of the water and it worries me that there is going to be a huge backlash if it isn't want people expect. In some of the examples I gave (such as No Man's Sky) these small developers got dog-piled because they weren't able to meet the expectations they had set, and that's sad to me. Indie developers bring so much to the table that I don't want this group to be shunned when the game isn't up to the hype.

@@rummyplaysgames5367 Oh yeah definitely, having high expectations can be as bad as a game not delivering what it sets out to do. I've mentioned that people should keep their expectations realistic, after all the PL team isn't huge, so they can only do so much. That being said, I do believe they want to make the best game they can

You are absolutely correct regarding how Pal Sphere just doesn't sound anywhere as catchy as Pokeball. But then I'm not sure what would've worked either way. Overall, PalWorld is definitely the best unhinged game of 2024 so far. What a start to the year!

randomly saw you in my recommended, can't wait for episode 3! (also, a quick tip - i saw that when you go into build mode, your fps gets locked at around 30, which is the case for me as well. opening the escape menu or interacting with an item from your inventory fixes it, although it's annoying that you have to do it every time.)

Keep up the good work! Everyone takes a bit to find their personal style for building and to do it with the pressure of sharing it is pretty brave. I really liked this concept and you had a lot of great ideas you talked about. Relax and do what you love and views will come!!!🎉

"can't pick things up after you place them" this shows you Never read the building controls: -b->c to deconstruct and get all the resources back -right click for continuous build instead of 1 at a time. tbh, took me time to notice as well.

I meant more in that you can't pick up a workbench and move it, rather than deconstructing it and rebuilding it.

@@rummyplaysgames5367 this is why non pokemon fans call this ark with pokemon rather than pokemon with guns cause that is the same with ark. everything other than how the pals look and how you catch them is ark. its also why so many non pokemon players have issue with the few pokemon fans that give the game a hard time cause "its ripping off pokemon".

Nice video! Just a tip, don't build the palbox close to a cliff/wall because your base area is a big circle and the palbox is the center, if you build it there you will lose half of the size of your base and you will need more space. Another tip watch out what is behind the palbox because what you summon to work in your base it will drop behind the pal box and if there is a wall behind it will get stuck like the lamball did or if it has a hole it will fall into it =) Have fun!

Nice work with the layover information. Super handy, and it gives some extra time to really appreciate the build. Also, making your sims actually use the house and walk through it, gives it a real nice touch.

Building modern homes in the sims is easy. Make a box, paint plain white, leave it unfurnished. Your done. #minimalist

I did finally read some rules and saw this! I'm also incredibly terrible at raising toddlers in this game, so it might not make much difference.
